No Pride & Joy Tejas Among 75 Aircraft to Fly Past on Republic Day

I seriously can't understand why certain posters on the forum don't take the trouble to read what they type. You are not making any sense at all. Yes the lack of pride is why the Tejas has started to participate in Air Shows, including being the biggest attraction in Aero India. Participates in global tenders -- but hey! we still refuse to fly them and parade them on flat beds. Heck it flown to Dubai and Bahrain. The trailer, The samosa jokes are getting old. Tejas irks you fan boys since there has been a natural progression in term of capability of design, development and eco systems. You don't have one project to compare it on similar terms. The announcement to buy a new Chinese Jet exposed Pakistan's lack of capabilities to evolve the JF-17 on its own -- That is the sole reason for the hate!!!
We hate and pick on the tejas because its a shit fighter jet lol.

That is very true - Pakistan doesn’t have a single project that has gone through so many delays, revisions and rejections by its primary customer that it took 35 years to get 18 of them into the air.

. .
Its not an excuse but a fact, single engine aircrafts don’t participate. Not even Mirage-2000 and MiG-21 are Participating.
if IAF is afraid to participate single engine aircrafts in a parade how would the pilots fly them confidently in a war, makes no sense at all....

.
Here in UK, despite their strict regulations on fighter aircraft operating over cities, on special occasions even WW2 era aircraft like the Spitfires do a flypast over the Buckingham Palace with Queen taking the salute... while Red Arrows with their single engine Hawks is a regular feature.

You don’t have twin engine aircrafts anyways. “InDiAnS cRaSh eVeRyThIng”, ofcourse our attrition will be higher as we’re almost half the size of PAF. And we don’t have the Jadeed Tareen training which Pak Fizaya’s Fizayi Mujahids receive feared by the baniya pilots of IAF.

Of course I don’t make any sense to you ….. how can anyone make sense with 45 inch pure steel chest worshiper ?..

I was 8 years old when TEja was conceived …. I am 43 now and Teja is still unable To fly over the crowd Or cities!!!!

here is an idea …. Turn Teja into a suicide drone …. It may work better that way…

After all these hurdles they still denied their home grown fighter to feature in their national parade day... Not even a single exception for their indigenous jet...

Finally you're beginning to accept reality, there is usually some truth in every joke 😉

Explains why your air force has always gotten thrashed by a force half its size

Is this the reason you bought French Rafales when you have the mighty Tejas then?

Projecting your own insecurities?

I expected a little more informed comment from an advisor. Others are more or less into trolling but you could have given a balanced and an informed view.

A lot of FMs are quoting confidence factor again and again as if it is human factor related. It is not. Being not sure about servicing of aircraft. Laughable claims and comments as if wisdom has been all cornered by these trolls.

Republic Day flypast is held in heart of New Delhi which is highly infested with big birds that couldn’t be curbed inspite of concerted effort. In case of a bird ingestion, a single engine aircraft is unlikely to come out of it and would sure shot cause loss of life on ground, considering expanse of Delhi.

That was the reason a decision was taken long back to not permit single engine aircraft to fly past at low levels over New Delhi. A special concession was taken ( last or last to last year) to allow Tejas flypast.
Otherwise no other single engine aircraft do the fly past at low levels over New Delhi.

Please keep your trophy of honesty and smartness with you.
Your argument is valid but a bird hit is a severe thing, and the aircraft will be engulfed in flame for larger bird intake anyway. However, once customs are set, its harder to change in army/bureaucracy. (like to use twin engine aircrafts). But IAF should come out of past, and in fact push for Teja flypast as it will give confidence to other buyers and forces. If India take pride and confidence on Teja, then it must show it, saying is not enough.
