Nah sorry should have phrased it correctly ! I'm asking as an 'intern' for a 4-6 month long internship ! Which departments would be best suited. I interned for HBL Cantt for about 3 months; they had me working for the most part as collecting documents, telling people their bank balances, verifying cheques & when they sent me to the audit & compliance department they had me go through a very thick manual on HBLs internal compliance regulations for 3 days straight before I bailed out from there & was sent to the treasury department updating their 6 month long file work to the system for them. What did I truly learn there ? Nothing....except that an intern is just a shade better than slave labor !

So I'm asking from the perspective that when I do intern this time around - Which department should I try to get into ? Where would I learn the most ? Which would be most willing to teach ?

Dear….you just missed the fun……for bold part we use a jargon in our banking language “RAGRAA” and believe me it is something which literally dig out the hidden abilities of internee…… as a manager I always make sure ke internee get some “Karoos budha”…..or some young person having high aims but having no or little experience of leading team as supervisor……it is like a custom in banking Industry……

As far as file work and compliance manual ka baate hai to dear how would you learn….if you do not read the basic policy and procedure……

I believe you have learnt the basic banking Norms and culture during your last 3 month internship…..so go for trade department or SME……treasury is too high target at this stage…….
