Grow the hell up People,If army wants to come It has always come under its own Justification of attaining power and the Past dictatorships always happened due to political Instability I don't blame them for that except for Mushrrafs take over which was based on Personal retribution .Read the history of Pakistan and don't comment like Mongols,Especially those who are Not Pakistanis should refrain from commenting such stupid stuff saying "Pakistan has prospered under dictatorship".
Well Prosper is a word you can use how India made its millions to rise from poverty from being a third world obscured country in the world(India was ignored by the United states Sino-Indian war when asked for Fighter jets by Nehru)It rised through democracy socio-economic reforms and outlining decisive economic policies and sticking to them.Unlike Pakistan where every government has taken the economy of Pakistan and Just done Shoe policing in his own way and style and ruined it.
Decades Pakistan suffered and bled Internally in the hands of Politicians and dictators likewise while in the same time India slipped quietly passed worked hard avoided coups became the Largest successful democracy and today is the Ideal democracy in south asia a Potential superpower rivaling china. While in 2016 Pakistan.. citizens of Pakistan have failed to look past their own noses.
Musharraf was in Power for a decade,I didn't see no changes In-fact he failed Miserably to address and tackle imminent future threats,When United states Invaded Pakistan he should've fenced the whole western border (1).(2)He should've had a constant Joint anti-terrorism operation ongoing like Zarb-e-azb,He failed to control what he had to do ..provide security to Pakistan..As a result after his term the most Incompetant Government came to power I was in my early teens and I saw bomb blasts and my country bleeding all thanks to Peoples party and Musharraf who failed to address issues in their own sights.Mushrraf Instead when Afghanistani Intelligence told him that Mr"OBL" is hiding in manshehra he blasted them and it turns out he was later found kilometers away in abbotabad .He failed to control the Judiciary,Turned Islamabad into a war-zone and had to finally scratch his *** and go home.Don't get me wrong I love musharraf but its the truth all the past leaders have hurt this country immensely.
I'm a 21 year old Pakistani who wasn't even into Politics I didn't even care about politics till i was 19..I found my way to learning about whats right..
NEVER will be a coup in Pakistan, because Pakistani military has learned its lessons .
Pakistan saw two amazing historical achievements one that can lead to a better bright future.Which since 1947 never happened in Pakistan! that's how far we left ourselves!!!
Successful completion of term in office of its army chief without extension of service.(In November 2016)Army chief has declined extention in service request as per popular demands and GOP.
Successful complete transition of democracy from one government to another.
Today in news I heard Pakistan is transforming its election system and Upgrading into better Computerized system.
This process is slow but it is the only way.We may not have any leaders but this is the only way!
Thank you ever much

mushy back in charge? thats what pakistan needs
No not really. He's responsible for a lot of mess today. He was perhaps relatively better in the start but he became totally ineffective and an accpmlice of the corrupt elite so it makes the people think that all that initial good will was nothing but a drama.

Democracy in our country doesn't bring progress due to the fact that their Uncle Sams pets. Democracy is a good way to control people with the illusion of being free. Look at how it has divided our nation and pit people against a each other just so you can go up to a box and put a piece of paper inside of it. Look at Libya with Gaddafi. Highest living standard in Africa better than S.Africa's democratic nation. Divide and rule. Easy concept.

Libya's just a beacon of hope full of democracy now isn't it? :P

Unfair to say that civil rulers have been pets. Pakistan has always become a forefront ally whenever military rule has been prevalent. Frankly, most of the civil clowns running around as democrats are in fact the creation of the military officials. So all types of govts will fail unless accountability starts. We can have presidential system or a proportional system to make things better.

True. I've noticed with Islamic countries, the people seem to do better when ruled by dictators, military or royal families. Democracy, elected representatives etc is not their cup of tea.
Turkey,Malaysia and Now Indonesia. Which other Islamic country is "doing better" under dictatorship?

Correct. But this looks like a massive concerted effort to defame COAS after he has already clarified that he si neither seeking extension nor interested in taking over. Anyway its upto gentlemen whether they want to take any action or not.
This is actually is the folks who are trying to be more loyal to the King than the King himself.

Seems awam now ready to eating 100 onions after taking 99 Chitars, and few years later again demand for Chitars:rofl:

this is the funbdamental problem with so many Pakistanis causing their country to never become stable. Do you guys always live in such fear of being crushed? India has no interest in crushing you.
This is actually the failed "Tabdili" cult. You see PTI on their timelines and Raheel Sharif as their DP  they are both desperate and confused.

A political party in Pakistan has put up banners across the country asking army chief General Raheel Sharif to "impose martial law" and form a "government of technocrats", a move analysts said strengthened the view that something was cooking up.

The banners and hoardings were erected by the 'Move on Pakistan' party yesterday in 13 cities including Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sargodha and Hyderabad, according to media reports.

Unlike its earlier campaign requesting Raheel to reconsider his retirement due in November, the message is quite ominous this time, Dawn reported.

A banner hanging at a traffic intersection on the thoroughfare between Chief Minister's House and the Rangers headquarters in Karachi reads, "Janay ki baatain hui puraani, Khuda k liye ab ajao" (Talks of leaving are now old; for God's sake now come and take over the country).

Ali Hashmi, the central chief organiser of the party, told the newspaper that "the goal of their campaign was to suggest to the army chief that after imposing martial law, a government of technocrats should be made in Pakistan and Raheel should himself supervise it".

While the Inter-Services Public Relations remained tight-lipped on the issue, analyst Amir Rana said the latest move strengthened the view that something was cooking up.

Interestingly, the banners sprang up overnight on all major thoroughfares in the 13 cities, even in cantonment areas, despite the presence of several checkpoints and extra security.

Hashmi claimed that his party's banners were removed in Lahore and Faisalabad in the morning.

The 'Move on Pakistan' party which has little grass-root support has been registered with the Election Commission of Pakistan for the past three years and Faisalabad-based businessman Mohammad Kamran is its chairman.

Kamran runs a number of schools and businesses in Faisalabad, Sargodha and Lahore.

The party came into the spotlight in February when it put up posters and banners across the country asking the army chief not to retire and "help in eradicating terrorism and corruption".

Pakistan has a history of military interventions and so far faced four martial laws. Last military ruler Pervez Musharraf stepped down from the government in 2008.

Personal Views

Democratic ideals can't be forced on the people . The acceptance should come from within . Some people and societies work better with a single authoritarian figure in form of Elder , Tribal Chief , King , dIctator . Whereas other work better under Democracy and Republics . Army Rule might be better for Pakistan but keeping past experiences in mind , it will be an uneasy situation for us .

Anyway Army has an indirect influence on Pakistan Politics . At least due to army rule , Pakistan can get an Emperor which they have always missed :sarcastic:
