Muslim girls wearing Hijab barred from classes at Indian college

To properly cover their heads ------, much like hindu equivalent of ghoonghat

View attachment 809826
Ghoonghat is more traditional than religious. No educated woman in India wears Ghoonghat anywhere. At some places, women do cover head in some places in front of elders as mark of respect. But nowhere in India, ghoonghat is a mass phenomenon amongst educated woman. Evolution, change & progress is better than being cast in stone 14 centuries ago which considers a women without hijab as naked.

Puttar ..... how many students in above pic are uniform or are in uniform?

Baita bat yeh hy kay tumhari toi may hay kharish, jab tak wahan danda nai jay ga tum baaz anay k nai, tum kuttay ki wo dum ho jo kabi seedhi nai ho sakti, tumhari aukat yehi hy kay tumharay muh khol k un may paan thooka jay.

That depens on the school.

Schools in poorer districts or water scarce regions are more relaxed about uniform.

Other schools are strict about rules and implementing them. Its the call taken by the principal.

There are schools in kerala etc. where students use burqa and hijab.

Here a stabbing incident in Australia involving a Sikh student:

I am talking about India.

What do I care what happens in UK or Australia ?

. . .
Why don't you invite these girls to pakistan or Bangladesh ? I am sure they will jump at that offer ? right ?

Pakistan is only for Pakistani citizens

If India is a hate filled communal shithole then partition India

Our values and principles are not for sale, because some idol worshipers feel humiliated about their history and now want to push about innocent Muslim civilians

I hate Hindus, and by the time we are through Indian Muslims will realize why we are right

As long as the face is visible and it is possible for the school administration to identify that it is a legitimately enrolled student there should not be any problem. Girls wearing hijab in colleges is nothing new. I studied at a prominent south Mumbai college from 1997-2000 and it was not uncommon at all. Ditto in Bangalore where I did my post grad. Both institutions were run by Hindu trusts.

Certain colleges have a a strict dress code, including the hugely popular Christ College in Bangalore. Not sure if they allow hijab or not. But many times it is about interpreting rules to your convenience. If the rules are silent on hijab, it can be interpreted as 'hijab is not in the rules and hence not allowed'. Depends on where you get your ideological motivations from.

I am not pajeet nor that Arab-danish-Desi dude but I just don't see the reason in indulging with much communal news as it is below the treeshold of worthy news. None news material have started to make their way into this place. I don't log in here to talk about things at that gossip communal level
There are a thousand other threads, just go on those. Why do you need to click on one that you think shouldn't exist just to say that it shouldn't exist.
Tu kaun, mein khaamakhaa.

Basically, in nutshell it depends on which bigot is running the school?

Obviously the school / college under observation is being run by a Hindutva intolerant bigot. Who feels empowered by shouting at and rejecting minority students education, not based on their intelligence or competence but their faith and outfit.

Shame.

.
The Indian constitution's article 25 allows them to carry Kirpans
They are even allowed to carry knives on domestic flights

They are allowed to carry a kirpan, just not to a school or an Airplane.

Do you think sikhs working for corporates carry a kirpan into their office?
Pakistan is only for Pakistani citizens

If India is a hate filled communal shithole then partition India

Why ?

Its not bigotry if the rules are same for ALL students.

Its only Bigotry if there are exceptions to the rules.

How do you know they don't conceal carry already? If they insist their kids carry knives to school in the west, I am pretty sure they do it in India too

Kids can conceal and carry drugs too. Some conceal and carry **** and cigarettes and all kinds of stuff.

But as per school rules, they cannot. Its as simple as that.

I have never seen a sikh student carry a knife during my entire school and collage days. At least not openly.

Now if they were hiding one in their underwear, I wouldn't know.

No matter how much you try defending it, this is bigotry, plain simple hate filled. The root cause of teacher's / college administration is hate for these students' faith.

The teacher's role is to educate the students, not select and reject based on their outfit.

As far as your uniform argument goes, if there is something missing it stands, but if there is an addition to it due to one's circumstances it is acceptable. If these students are wearing the required color dress and shoes, they are not violating any uniform dress code.

A Hindu female student may choose to wear a tilak or a male student may choose to wear that raakhi thing ........ how different is this from that?

All schools I know had Uniform. Uni=>single.
There are specific rules to be followed in specific institutes, societies, countries.
Some people want 'special treatment' everywhere. Right to pray, right to wear, right to do this, right to do that.
It is so irritating.
Anyone wanting 'special treatment' should be shown his/her place.

Sikhs were also barred from "special treatment" for their turbans???... We're Hindus also barred from wearing the Kautuka?... If yes, then I agree with you. If not, then I ask why the double standard?

Role of teacher is also to enforce rule and discipline so that the students grow to be a LAW ABIDING citizen.

Most Indian schools have a rule about not allowing any religious symbolism by students. They are supposed to BURY THEIR DIFFERENCES in class, not accentuate them.

Students are not allowed to wear tilak to school either. Nor are rakhis permitted for more than one day at max.
