Most powerful man in the world - an Iranian

Dude no offence but Indians are skinny and there is no strength in their body, they are not warrior type of people.

Its all about awareness for the sporting career to masses, support & facilities given by government. In india people are more interested in careers which has guaranteed rewards very few people move for sports also they have bad training facilities . As country will develop further we expect much good participations by our sportsmen. Right now they are giving more than they were expected as we know the standard of training they get.

Dude in our village, the people do farm work and wrestle for sport. None of them take growth hormones for muscle, but to undermine their strength is foolish.

No doubt there are strong people across rural areas in Pakistan or North Indian states like Punjab, Haryana, UP.Wrestling tradition is deeply rooted in their lives.

But Olympic is much different than "GAON KI KUSHTIII".

Simple si baat hai...Jo Dikhtaa hai woh Biktaa hai... if we dont have medal to show we are not in that race.

Iranians do seem very "strong". That is their natural advantage, and they are right to develop it.

But this whole martial race/Class garbage doesnt belong in sports.

That's true. People say that East Asians are only good at Kung Fu. (Even though Kung Fu isn't an Olympic sport yet.)

And still, China and Korea are dominating the Olympic Medal Table. China has 5 Golds in swimming, and 5 Golds in weightlifting, 5 Golds in badminton, and 5 Golds in diving.

We even get Gold medals in very "Western-style" sports like Sailing and Fencing. Where there is a will, there is a way.

Ok guyz stop fighting. I was going to post this, but angeldude13 already posted. Sikhs, Rajputs and Jatts are considered warrior class in India.

We have a whole North East who will happily run up a mountain, physically disembowel the enemy, behead him, and then play football with his head.

I'm sure Pakistanis won't forget this guy in a hurry .....

Fighting is never about strength and size alone .... its about jigar.

There was a guy two years senior to me in college ..... from the NE ..... 5 foot nothing much else ..... a little daaru, and his face goes red, and then I have personally seen him tackle 6-7 guys at a time ..... viciously, till they are on the ground, and he has to be ripped away.

So kindly stop this martial race crap.

India and Indians have proved themselves on the battle-field enough and more through 5000 years of history.

This thread is about congratulating Iran ..... otherwise it would be apt to remind IranZamin about which nation bent over and which did not.

Keep lifting weights. You are good at it.

Yes, even in old Indian Pakistani movies based on Persian legends and myths Persians are shown very strong, one classic example is of Rustom Sohrab.Talking about Rustom Sohrab, here is my favorite song from Rustom Sohrab (1963) :D:D

Forget Kung Fu. There is a huge stereotype promoted by the media that Chinese or East Asians are only good at Math, Programming or whatever. And they're not good at sports, etc. Essentially emasculating them. But Chinese athletes, coaches, etc are proving everyone wrong.

We can be good at whatever we set our minds on.

We don't believe in martial race theories.

The imperial(ones creating the largest empires) Indians pretty much always came from Eastern India.

If these Eastern Indians(Biharis, Bengali, etc)didn't unify India, the Greeks, Central Asians, etc. would've overran India long before the Islamic invaders.

Chola, Maurayas, Marathas etc created their empire only in present day India and parts of Pakistan. Did they ever rule Persia, Arabia, China or any other FOREIGN nation? I don't think so, if they did, I am not aware of it.

Why would you want foregin land when you're in India?? What is there in Afghanistan? That ancient Indians wanted so badly?

I can understand why Mongols, Central Asian Nomadic tribes, British(other Europeans), etc went out. Because what resources did they have in their land? Not much.
