Most powerful man in the world - an Iranian

How did you come up with this list?

Afghans/Turks and Pakistanis don't belong on a list next to Iran. Pakistanis? Don't make me laugh, when have we ever been successful at wrestling or weightlifting. I'm not saying that we don't have the potential to compete at the top level, but until that potential leads to success on the world stage, we shouldn't even be thinking about putting our name alongside a country renowned for its rich tradition in wrestling.

I've been watching the Iranian competitors closely as I'm fascinated by their ability to succeed in 'contact/power' sports. They've been doing extremely well, Roustami was unlucky not to pick up a gold, his snatch let him down, big time. I'm embarrassed that Pakistanis aren't present in any of these sports, however, it makes me proud to see Iran doing so well on a massive world stage.

It may seem harsh to say, but the Indians I've met in general are weak, docile and pathetic at these type of sports.

Congratz, Iran.

You are someone that has never been to Pakistan. Very foolish statements you have written. My uncle is one Pakistani that bench lifts cars for a daily work out. We have an entire city dedicated to wrestling in Pakistan. Our country has gotten the wrestling culture from Iran, but to say our men are not strong is idiocy on your part. LOL @ you.

Well the fact is Iran's per capita income is lot higher than subcontinent, so I'm sure their athletes can afford more expensive training and diet while most Indian/Pakistani athletes are not professional to begin with. They work in Army, Railway etc and carry on with their training in spare time.

Please stop coming up with pseudo quack theory which relates strength, bravery with races and countries.

Dude in our village, the people do farm work and wrestle for sport. None of them take growth hormones for muscle, but to undermine their strength is foolish.

RazPak, Mary kom more is than enough to beat the crap out of you.......:D

Ji, boht bahadur hain ap lokh.

Not only Mary Kom, how about Karnam Malleswari in weightlifting, Vijender Singh in boxing, Sushil Kumar in wrestling. All of them have Olympic medals to show off.

Completely and categorically disagree with you.
However, congratulations for the gold.
God bless you and your people.
Dude no offence but Indians are skinny and there is no strength in their body, they are not warrior type of people.

you are very much wrong here.i don't know what kind of indian people you are talking about.jatts, rajputs, sikhs and jaats are warrior type of people but the thing is our athletes can't train like yours because of money problem.your per capita income is higher then ours so your players can afford better quality training and nutrients.

I don't know what he means by warrior type people.

But this whole martial race/Class garbage doesnt belong in sports.

All of these guys came from the gutter. At Robinson and Alis time they came from the lowest class in their society. And they were beating up white folks left and right.

They got there because of raw talent, skill, and training. Not because of some class.

Congratulations to Iran.

You guys are rocking wrestling and lifting. Good for you.

Also nice to see these guys are not very fat, unlike the Soviet/Eastern Bloc lifters of the 80s and 90s.

Ok guyz stop fighting. I was going to post this, but angeldude13 already posted. Sikhs, Rajputs and Jatts are considered warrior class in India.

but majority of those Punjabis Sikhs and Jatts have roots in present day Pakistan and moved to India during partition lol

They had to be. Look at their location. Their land was being taken, their family killed, etc, etc, etc.

If the situation wasn't that way, they would've been happily farming.

Even the Vietnamese back then would've been happily farming or whatever. But they showed their warrior spirit when they were invaded by 3 nations.
