He can still serve Gujarat even when He will be the PM

And for those "Secular" people who don't remember the Ramayan - When Ram went to Vanvaas Bharat served as king but he did not sit on the throne. It was occupied by Ram's slippers.

So when Modi moves to Delhi he will still control Gujarat through his lieutinents like AnandiBen Patel

People are naive, Do you think likes of Arun Jaitely will allow Modi as PM? There are some very shrewd corrupted members in BJP, who are two-faced. Such members will allow Congress to rule India as long as they are untouched. Modi will never become PM of India.

Arun Jaitley against NaMo ? ...the same Arun Jaitley who said this a few hours back ?

Happy to serve Gujarat: Narendra Modi - The Hindu

......senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley said there should be no controversy over the issue of the party’s prime ministerial candidate as that would be akin to committing a “hit-wicket” and could turn out to be the only possible reason for the party losing the upcoming general elections.

“Parliamentary elections at times also become (like) presidential elections, especially when the leader enjoys overwhelming popularity. This has happened in the case of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Indira Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru in the past,” Mr. Jaitley, leader of the opposition in Rajya Sabha had said, stressing that the sooner BJP announced its leader (read Prime Minister candidate), the better it would be for the party.

“We should not get a hit-wicket. That is a scenario where nobody bowls you out, but you give your own wicket. That is the only way we are going to lose this election,” he had said, adding that the party should not create any “unnecessary controversy” on the leadership issue.

Mr. Jaitley has often insisted on declaring Mr. Modi as BJP’s prime ministerial candidate.

Jaitley has clearly thrown his complete weight behind NaMo.

The Only dissenting voice is Old man Advani and his protegee Sushma Swaraj. Both are 'stateless leaders' as Arun Shourie rightly put. They dont carry much weight anyway, Advani is banking on the Hindu tradition of respecting elders. But real politiks sweeps away any 'mariyada'. The writings is on the wall.

who cares man.....just get this dumb government out. first kick them out and then we can decide who will be PM. I will even vote for lalu or karunanidhi or jagmohan reddy or uma bharti or brinda karat. just kick these guys out first.

Napunsak PM. Napunsak government.

After they shunted out Pranab Mukharjee , none among their ranks seems to have integrity to become PM barring one upright MP Jairam Ramesh.
I think Jairam Ramesh is a right man in wrong party.

You are so right. Jairam Ramesh is such a good man who truly cares for India.

Here is proof of his 'kindness'.......he has 'donated' Rs. 250 Crores to UK to expand the oxford college while Indian school children are dying in Bihar or not getting basic schooling.

Jairam's tribute: Govt of India may fund Oxford centre in Indira's name

Indira Gandhi, class of 1937, may not have completed her studies at Somerville College in Oxford University, but she could soon have a centre in Oxford University's new campus named after her.

......In this instance, it is rural development minister Jairam Ramesh's enthusiasm for "a most befitting tribute" to the late prime minister that has pushed the government into action.

...The initiative, which has the "full support" of the Oxford University, has three components. First, setting up the Indira Gandhi Centre for Sustainable Development, a dedicated landmark building at Oxford University's new campus. Second, advancement of research in food security, public health, environment sustainability, and global governance, "subjects close to Indira Gandhi's heart".

Third, establishing scholarships available specifically to Indian students at Oxford.

The really funny part is Indira Gandhi Never even completed her graduation from Oxford. :laughcry: ...... she left her education halfway and now there is an entire college being funded by starving India to be built in Oxford in her name.

So now 1-3 'Scholars' (Children of congress leaders) can go to Oxford, UK to study "food security, public health, environment sustainability, and global governance".........all clearly CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY on our money. :cheesy:

You see, Jairam Ramesh has decided India has enough schools and colleges, so now he wants to fund colleges in UK.

He is the Best ......I think we should all vote for CONgress.

Foolish Modi is building schools and colleges in India ....what a fool. What we really need, is to 'study' global governance' in Oxford.

Does it matter?

It's obvious that whoever is the BJP candidate will be taking their orders from Modi.

Only if the elections can be won on internet forums then Modi is the pm of india, other wise road is very bumpy ride. manzil bahut door hai

Bro Propaganda n electronic/internet media is not going to win election for any party. BJP didn't learnt its lesson in 2004, 2009 and making same mistakes now. 65% of voters are rural in India, this will make or break the parties to power

Its debatable mate.. See what kind of popularity Imran had in internet and see what his party's performance in election.. Modi is popular in Internet, I can give you that..

I don't know about Imran, but Modi has the backing of youth and Industrialists and businessmen.I don't see any leader having such popularity with diverse groups.

Point taken. And destroyed. :woot: :)

No, but seriously - we will see his imprint in the South soon - hopefully

Hes already got imprint in South, when he came to hyderabad people spent 5 rs. to hear his speech, whereas other leaders offer free biryani, half bottle, and 100 rs for attending and free tour of hyderabad. :P.He also met all AP industrialists and Film industry, there were rumors that he bagged a lot of deals from industrialists and filmi people to Gujarat.

AWESME dude, strangely BJP will be butchered in both Kerala and Karnataka and andhra...mauled so HUMILIATINGLY that there would be no real parallels...wonder why that is so

Modi deserves his defeat...if he wanted to be a true alternative, he should have left out Amit Shah, Gadakari etc.- even I would have reasons to look carefully then. He is no 'alternative'. He just decided hat he can use curret disgruntlement to come to power.

Coastal Andhra is all about caste politics, there people are screwed up in their minds for them caste comes first not nation. While Telangana doesnt have this caste based politics,Rayalaseema is all about factions.
you can expect congress to be butchered ruthlessly in all 3 areas of AP.Since TRS broke the ice for telangana state people of telangana will vote for TRS and BJP getting some extra seats,as Bjp was with TRS all the way.Andhra and Rayalaseema regions where people think Congress is the Devil that Split the state will show their Vengeance on Congress. So who is getting butchered in AP? :D

MP CM tells BJP not to name Modi as PM nominee before Assembly polls

New Delhi: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has conveyed to the BJP high command that his Gujarat counterpart Narendra Modi should not be projected as the party's prime ministerial candidate before Assembly polls, said sources on Friday.
The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister has conveyed the message to party President Rajnath Singh and senior party leader LK Advani last week. The remarks came even as the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh top brass is set to meet top BJP leaders next week to discuss Modi' elevation.
Meawhile, Chouhan's office is denying the statement saying that he has never written to anyone or opposed Modi.

Sources said that senior party leaders Sushma Swaraj and Advani have also opposed Modi's elevation until after the Assembly polls in Rajasthan, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh later in 2013.
Dismissing reports of the rift bewteen Modi and Chouhan, party leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said, "Shivraj Singh Chouhan had invited Narendra Modi to campaign in Madhya Pradesh. He will be present as a part of a huge event in the state and other places too."
On Thursday, Modi had denied harbouring prime ministerial aspirations and said he had no intentions of becoming anything, but he just wants to serve the people of Gujarat. He has said his priority is to serve the people of Gujarat till 2017 as he has been voted in by the state electorate.
These statements by Modi come at a time when the BJP seems to be divided on making him the Prime Ministerial candidate. Top RSS leader Bhaiyyaji Joshi met senior BJP leader LK Advani and some other top leaders on Sunday night to discuss the issue.
While Modi supporters have been pushing for his announcement as the prime ministerial candidate, the Advani camp insists this will polarise the polity at a time when the UPA is grappling with corruption, economic crisis and non-performance.
Earlier this month, former union minister and BJP leader Arun Shourie had said that Modi is the party's prime ministerial candidate. Speaking to CNN-IBN's Karan Thapar on Devil's Advocate, Shourie called Modi's rivals 'stateless leaders from Delhi'.
The rift between the two BJP chief ministers was seen on an earlier occasion too ahead of Chouhan's re-election yatra. The posters put up for the yatra included all national BJP leaders but not Modi. The posters depicted Advani, Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj and former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
