As @Taygibay has pointed out, these costs are WAY off.Rafale-M naval variant costs 110 million = 3 times that of Mig 29K
So of course price matters.
Sony TV is always expensive than Videocon.
Anyway, the Rafale-M will not only offer almost DOUBLE the availability of the MiG-29K, its support "footprint" will also be FAR lower (fewer spares will be required, fewer time intervals between flights for routine maintainence will be incurred and almost negligble engine related work will have to go on during an ENTIRE deployment) not to mention the Rafale-M is easily 70-100% more capable than a single MiG-29K/KUB. IF the Rafale is a luxury for the IAF (not my contention but that of others on occasion) it is an essential product for a service that goes to sea with all the possible spares they could possibly house and is yet to develop a credible COD (Carrier Onboard Delivery) capability.
All in all, the Rafale-M is a far more cost-effective product for the IN than the MiG-29K/KUB and you better believe they are aware of this.
