Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete was crowned Miss Universe 2010 during the finals of the beauty pageant held in Las Vegas a short while ago.

The 22-year-old beat 88 other women from around the world at the 59th annual international beauty pageant, held at the Mandalay Bay casino-resort in Las Vegas.

The first runner-up was Miss Jamaica, second runner-up Miss Australia and third runner-up Ukraine.

As Miss Universe, Navarrete will receive an undisclosed salary, use of a luxury apartment in New York with living expenses paid, a diamond-encrusted crown and jewelry fit for a queen, a year's worth of designer clothing, hair care products, makeup and shoes, plus a one-year scholarship to the New York Film Academy plus housing after her reign ends.

When I first come over here to the US some 10 years ago, even I was surprised to see girls (blondes and brunettes) not remove hair on their arms. Blondes are anyway lucky that their hair is almost invisible on their arms. Even the ABCD girls that I have seen dont shave their arms.

And here in Mexico we have Chinese men who think they're "too good" to marry local girls. I can never understand how can they resist such temptation, & go for Chinese girls only, regardless of how they look.
Over here, Chinese who marry locals are looked down upon as "disobedient sons" or downtrodden losers who can't attract their own "noble" kind.
