Well here sirji!how & why please explain sirji
later option seems sensible but it will take one more decade and we cant weight till then but IN is already interested in naval version of F35 & E2D/E as their is nothing like that in this theater so the american option seems best as with C-7s & P8I americans have made it clear that no matter what when it comes to dilliverring as per the contract no one can beat them specially on time bound dillverryI think US won't provide EMAL tech without F35. Other option is to developed with Russia which might be interested.
interesting, I didn't know lockheed martin were into shipbuilding as well.
thailand is not of owr concern but china is and the way & pace they are making millitarry hardware its just a matter of time when they get something like this then what cause if it comes to china be sure pakistanies will get a waterred down version of the same too then what so its better to be safe than to be sorryWell here sirji!

One thing, in case of an aerial sea battle, ship borne surveillance like E2D can help in very effective vectoring of AC based fighters. I'm not aware if China or Thailand (mentioning them as they are the only navies in IOR to have AC) is fielding any such similar product and therefore, it being peerless.
but DCNS will never get any big ticket naval order from india after what they did in sorpene deal so forget DCNS now as for this current contract ... i sa "IF" it materialises which i dought it will go to americans period and if it goes to americans then F35 & V22 version of E2D/E are coming with it
though russian offer the most economical pakage but after vikrmaditya fiasco indian navy is not very keen to do buisness of that lavel with russians again
With the order of 1000 aircraft and still in IOC at what time frame we can expect the delivery if we order now. There is long list of country in line and don't found any reason why India will get priority. But the question arises is Do we have funds available and do we have such immediate requirement.later option seems sensible but it will take one more decade and we cant weight till then but IN is already interested in naval version of F35 & E2D/E as their is nothing like that in this theater so the american option seems best as with C-7s & P8I americans have made it clear that no matter what when it comes to dilliverring as per the contract no one can beat them specially on time bound dillverry

Well its off topic after induction of COBAT by TATA Steel why not benifited from the steel developed for the naval ship, submarine building.DCNS has almost nothing to do with the delays in Scorpene deal. MDL along with navy with CNS is solely to blame.
Dcns still has a too amount of chance.
I beg to differ with you Sir but time frame 2020-21 is too optimistic.
But my other half of question about the price which I think is 140+ million per aircraft do we have the funds and other US weapons BVR which is not in Indian inventory plus the support infrastucture plus the US imposed restriction does it justify the benifits it will bring. Policy makers have to decide how they want to see IN in future.
If money is not the problem then I am not an expert but what I think is that it will depend how our policy makers wants our forces to be in future.
If they want India to be a true blue expeditionary forces than the need of nuclear power carrier is must which will be inducted in 2030. Why not explore the posibilty of navalise FGFA or the naval AMCA(before AMCA) if 5th gen is the must.
We always would have plan B rafale m
EMAL could be developed with Russia in the mean time other option is steam based CATOBAR

putin might be vindictive but he is not against india and russia knows that if they backstab india for anyone else its bad buisness approachDeliveries of posedon P8i have been spot on bang on time, Regrading russian concerns we still needs to tread cautiously putin is very vindicative now a days specially after sanctions led by US
putin might be vindictive but he is not against india and russia knows that if they backstab india for anyone else its bad buisness approach
but he is also not against doing buisness with china which might create some problems for us in future but their aswell we are in safe side as many russian manufacturers .. well almost all see china with suspecsion deu to there reverse engenering
but as for indian navy their is a growing sense of restlessness and mistrust with russians after vikrmaditya but its too earli to say that
thing is for AC tech USA is the "KING" and has best possible techs in any departemnt when it comes to ACs and indian navy wants the best hence IF this programme goes ahead it is going to USA period
