LAHORE: Founder of banned outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) Malik Ishaq was shifted late Tuesday night to a Rahim Yar Khan jail after being under house arrest for 10 days.

Ishaq has now been detained for more than 30 days to pre-empt sectarian strife, under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO), The Express Tribune has learnt.
According to an official of the security branch, the detention order was issued by the District Coordination Officer (DCO) Rahim Yar Khan late on Monday but due to the closure of the jail.
The former chief of the banned outfit was allegedly involved in 44 murder cases in which 70 people mostly belong to the Shia community.
He was released on bail from Kot Lakhpat Jail Lahore on July 14 in a case regarding the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team by the order of the Supreme Court.
Ishaq had been in jail since 1997 for allegedly killing 12 members of Fida Hussain Ghalvi’s family, in addition to being allegedly involved in killing 58 other people in various incidents of sectarian violence. He is one of the founders of the terrorist outfit LeJ, a key suspect in the attack on the Sri Lankan team in Lahore in 2009.
He was granted bail by the apex court after the prosecution failed to prove his involvement in the case.
Ishaq was acquitted in 34 out of 44 cases while in the remaining 10 he had already been granted bail, official documents revealed.
Intelligence and law enforcement agencies’ reports have revealed that the banned organization’s leader is engaged in highly objectionable activities which may spark sectarian violence in Punjab.
Ubaidullah Usmani, the media coordinator of Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) said that the chief of ASWJ Allama Muhammad Ahmad Ludhianvi has strongly condemned the detention of Malik Ishaq.

problem is the law, the justice system that you and we are following is based on law of evidence

so when all witnesses and their relatives are killed and the funerals of the funerals of the funerals of the funerals are bombs and attacked ( ref DI Khan city) then people give up and go away quietly.
the prosecution sucks arse and cant make a compelling case to charge them so the justice system has no choice but to let go these ginning murderers who are greeted by their fanatic fans and rose petals.

So its not a joke but a tragedy, these murderers even in front of the court have the audacity of threatening the witnesses and then they address the judge and say that dead people cant give evidence. The police officers, commissioners, magistrates and civilians all meet the same fate. That’s our version of a peaceful Pakistan when the killers are only killing the shias and Ahemids.

You can choose to mock us further or shake your head in silence in disbelief .

Either he is paying off the judges or he is using his powers to get bail

Not sure if you read my first paragraph carefully. Is the law of evidence doesn’t help the prosecution or the victims families,…how??? Well his followers make sure no one lives to tell the tale, just like the gangsters do in any country.

with his own power and backing he doesn’t really need any more connections in the government or justice system although that cant be dismissed. But what can you expect from the system if a police officer or a judge who shows willingness and dedication to bring culprit to justice meets a violent death himself? The proceedings delayed and then put on pending while authorities try to recover from that incident?

but having said that like I said earlier he and his organisation has been involved in killing law enforcement officials and also the people from justice system including judges and lawyers.

Sadly it seems that extrajudicial punishment and/ or killing seems to be the only solution. These people liveby the sword but they also die by the sword but by the time that happens they have made a lot of orphans and widows. An unavoidable evil in any society no matter how peaceful and prosperous but in our case further exacerbated due to religious terrorism.

Only in Pakistan a person involve in killing of 1000s of her citizens is given house arrest for few days Yet ISI and other cant understand why no one believes them when they say they are not involve with or helping these Terrorist i wonder why could that b.
