Khorramshahr multi warhead ballistic missile

I'm surprised that no one is addressing the big elephant in the room.

Both Iran and North Korea were developing multi-stage long thin ballistic missiles. In North koreas case they kept adding stages and the missiles were getting longer. Suddenly basically overnight advanced to short and thick single stage and double stage missiles capable of eventually leading the to ICBM technology (in North koreas case already just recently achieved).

This doesn't seem like normal research and development especially in the case of North Korea with all its failures (couldn't even launch BM-25 missiles at a good success rate) and its development of Unha based missiles.

Some country has decided it's in its strategic interest for Iran and North Korea to achieve ICBM deterrence in order to safeguard said country.

It is not out of the realm of possibility that Russian has covertly (likely through black market channels for plausible deniability) supplied Iran and North Korea with missile technology to advance their programs.

It just seems so convinent that North Korea suddenly out of no where advanced significantly in missile technology. Moving from thin scud based/no dong multi stage missiles to short thick 1-2 stage ICBM and MRBM missiles is a big move.

You still think world resolves around US? only corrupt Arab kings revolve around you people.

The load carrying pods of the Khorramshahr on which it sits, are from the design heritage of the Simorgh and Qiam. The North Korean HS-10 is different and more like the original R-27. The reason should be the complete structural redesign necessary to carry the higher payload. In that sense, the Khorramshahr is a more complex redesign than the HS-10.

Another point is that it has no grid fins as the HS-10. The R-27 had a initial acceleration due to the sub ejection and hence had no serious problems with cross-winds causing stability problems.
The HS-10 had that problem and North Koreans solved it with grid fins.

The Iranian solution seems to be different, already with the Qiam. A guidance system with high dynamic response and robust control system. This can be quite tricky and may require higher performing actuators. This is another hint to a higher technology used in the Khorramshahr.

I bet the initial name of the Khorramshahr was Qiam-2 or 3.

if you had slightest of knowledge about the history and relation and long term strategic plan of both Iran and Russia , you wouldn't say this ...

Russia doesn't wanted a unpredictable nuclear Muslim country which is capable to target her main cities with nuclear missile ...

@SOHEIL what happened to Ashura missile? it was said to be 2500 kms and solid fuel ..do we have 4 BMs with more than 2000kms?isn't it Sejil?

Yeah. Look at our threads discussion this matter and how we do it and then come back.
We go to microscopic details to verify any claims made by our Missile forces and do all the possible match.
The warhead section of the Ababeel Missile is 1.8 meters in diameter and a shaheen-3 warhead is 0.76 Cm with heat shield . So three sch warheads can fit on this Missile.
Where is your maths?

There is a very simple answer to your questions.

That is the Soviet R-27 SLBM upon which the Khorramshahr is based on. Notice the 3 warheads. It has a 1.5 metre diameter.

I think NK acquired some Soviet tech in the 1991 collapse, and got Iranian help in reverse engineering it.

it did not failed, have good look at full video you see the reentry vichole separate and hits the target

FOX news lies are been expossed

North Korea has discontinued the development of this Hwasong-10 missile, replaced by the far superior and successful Hwasong-12 IRBM, powered by a single engine 80 ton-force Paektusan series engine.

This Khorramshahr missile is certainly not comparable to the North Korean Hwasong-10:
Look at the video, suddenly the flame is directing to an outward direction...and also visible from the contrail left. No such sequence seen in Korean test videos.

Dude, your so called sudden flame is changing the direction move of warhead, based on the video , the warhead lands a few minutes after launching missile, on a close area to the test site.

Minister Says Iran’s New Ballistic Missile ‘Strategic Weapon’
Iran’s new homegrown ballistic missile that was unveiled on Friday can be guided through the final moments of engagement with the target, Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami said, describing it as a “strategic missile” at Iran’s disposal.
In comments on Saturday, General Hatami said that its remarkable operational range and unique features have made Khorramshahr a very agile missile.
The strategic missile can cross the enemy’s air defense zone and could be guided from the launch to the moment it hits the target, he added
