Khattak to inaugurate 40.8 MW Koto Hydro Dam in Dir today

.
If you can do faster go hire your crew....Esp in the mountainous area where people are tribal...LETs get you to move machinery there....No hop to it no time to waste laughing :enjoy:

Why not collaborate with private sector or work on higher capacity projects which also take three to four years in completion.

You do know NS only gave dawat to his family and friends when he talked with the Chinese? You also know KPK is tribal and is working towards improvement without guarantee no one will invest there....and Provincial govt cant give such guarantee coz then they will have to chase KPK's progress and they arent interested in moving Pakistan in the right direction unless they get paid....

Higher capacity projects go through federal govt ...again the chasing scenario wont benefit NS or co. so .....either do it yourself or be lower than Punjab so that SS looks all shinny :enjoy:

whenever they took good steps we must appreciate man . i wish its completed and nation got it .
Some people get indigestion to good steps for Pakistan esp if it doesnt include metro and instead is for electricity production at cheaper rates than what Punjab can offer :(

man f u c k politics i hate politicians and politics . specially dirty politics of s.asia . i am a pakistani citizen and we need electricity even Satan give to us i will thank to him .

Reaad mine....Difference between planning and NEVER STARTED and STARTED and then the end result is completed....EACH is a step and whoever goes down each step is hailed! Coz there is no point having blueprints to a house and sleeping on a street!

A project only starts when it is approved by the competent authority for construction...i.e. make funding available according to approved PC-1...This is a step by step process...You seem to have no knowledge regarding these. Let me explain how a Hydropower project is started in Pakistan

1. Locate potential raw site
2. Pre-feasibility studies are done
3. Feasibility studies are done
4. Approval of PC-1 and commence of construction activities
5. Hire Consultants for construction activities according to PC-1
6. Feasibility review,Tender documents and Contractors are invited for Bidding process
7. lowest bidder and technically qualified contractor is selected for construction
8. Construction starts
Here isn't this is so simple just like you say....:D
Looking at point by point Kpk gov took this process fruther from point 5...if there were no point 1-4 (and the most time consuming), you cannot start a project in 100 years.

Being from PTi what bothers me that no new project has been initiated. Why? Because the Federal government are not cooperating with KPK gov...Pti are making good efforts in Police, local gov, repairing of road, beautification, health (no too much), education....But these would no resolve the energy and jobless issues in kpk...

So what's the big fuss, IK inaugurated it, that's it? I am quite happy to be honest at least they are doing something.
On the other hand do you have any idea about electricity demand in 2018? Four years completion time for 40.8MW lol it make no sense for me, when you can build 300-1000MW projects in three to four years. Perhaps they are thinking, some other government will take credit of their mega projects.

Regardless of the size and power generation capacity of the dam, i see every single one of these dams as a life line for Pakistan. I dont know how many of us have noticed, but immediately after this terrorism problem, water shortage is the next challenge we will face and one in which India has invested heavily in . These dams will go a long way in defeating the evil designs of our peace loving neighbor.

So what is federal for? Dont they have that solar park and other plans showcased? Ya relying completely on KPK?

But NS still hasnt done such kamaal in his now 2 yrs plus :(

You do know one doesnt have the control for the electricity a hydro project yields it is COMPLETELY dependent on the flow in the body of water

.
The Project Construction Cost is 12.59 billion with a Scheduled time of 48 months.

..

Please note July 2019 date when the power will be available.

No quick fix to our issues. Do not expect load shedding to go away anytime soon.

peace

Mocking my knowledge showed your lack of understanding....

I never questioned the steps I said there is a remarkable difference in ANNOUNCING a project and ACTUALLY GOING THROUGH the steps....

Let me give you an example you will understand:

SS once said he will drag Zardari through the streets....He announced it but didnt actually go through the steps now if someone else does that to Zardari....WHO will be appreciated the announcer or the one who actually acts on it?

we should be more worried about sindh and punjab about electricity shortage there in kpk you will find micro hydro projects in every second village my friend temperature in kpk is bearable in summers and 40.8 MW will facilitate millions of people living in mountainous areas and over all requirement of power in KPK is around 1500 MW roughly ..
