what kind of food are you looking for? for casual foods, lot of restaurants like
Saphire , Yuvarani residency at Jose Junction for VFM.
Naushad big chef at Kadavanthra
Veg food: Woodlands hotel, woodlands junction
Grand Hotel is consistently good(near woodlands junction)
Andhra speciality at Chillies/Tandoor at laayam road near Woodlands junction
For Biryaani and non veg: Just biryani at Padma junction, Naushad Big chef, Chiyang(near north end MG road) lot of other options also.
Frys Village in Chittoor road(near Veekshanam) also good enough.

There are lot of north Indian/Lebanese/Arabic specific restuarants in Kochin around Edappally-Palarivattom stretch.

Ceylon bake house near Polakkulathu bar hotel? I forgot to add: Ceylon bake house near woodlands junction was good when I visited last year. but heard it is not really going good these days.
OR you may be thinking about Chillies above Tandoor restaurant owned by actor Krishna?

There are good hotels at W.Island for high budget people? Casino,Taj Malabar(5 star),Trident etc.
In Kaloor-Kadavanthra road, near Kathrukkadave(after overbridge), there are some hotels like Kettuvallam, Nasrani Kitchen etc focussing on regional Cuisines.
For Kallu and Shaap food, visit Mullappanthal near Thrippunithura. there is also "Shaap food" near VMH(Vyttila mobility Hub) etc etc
I cannot count the no. of options around Kochi.. better go through SSC link I gave above.

Mate, there is a small hotel called Hotel Seon.. Its on the way to KSRTC bus stand in ekm.. Its very small but they make different kind of fish curries.. Fish is their specialty.. You will get Shark to Squib there.. Note that it is just an ordinary hotel.. If you are able to find it, ask for fish curry with coconut milk.. Its awesome.
