Try kettuvallam..... They have good menu on seafoods.... they got 2 branches (that i know) .... 1 in kaloor kadavanthara road after flyover towards kadavanthara..... and another one on kaloor palarivattom road diagonally opposite to Jawarlal nehru stadium.... If you go to varappuzha side just before the bridge you have few naadan restaurants........I loved the one on right hand side..... Naadan seafoods at a very nominal price... very less quantity and you can try lot of varieties without wasting the food.....

because if it is 11th then the case will be entirely different.

You are welcome... I am an accountant in a small firm mate.. Used to work in Ernakulam so knows some places

You might be knowing that it is totally residential in 11th and 12th.I think there is about 200 seats in that institute for 11th but i think a major portion( about 60% or more) is reserved for girls.My cousin had given it this year.Some 5000 students gave it against a vacancy of 100 or so last time.They will ask 10th portion but little more entrance type question.The exam will be on the first week of April and classes will start soon after.

For example there is a topic in physics I guess of motor and generator in 10th which is not that important in board exams but last time it was asked extensively in their test.

It is pretty tough to get through.But they have full time classes by the faculty in there.So it is pretty good also from entrance perspective.See ultimately entrance is all about competition.The person who works hard wins.Your hard wok is what matters the most rather than the coaching.What coaching does is it gives you sufficient exposure and giver you a sense of the competetion which is very very necessary
I thing which is guaranteed is that if you are one of the toppers at PC classes for medicine then you are one of the toppers in India also.Last NEET more that 1000 of the top 4000 ranks were bagged by keralites only including many of the top ranks.
But in engineering the case is not the same.
If your son is not a studious type then he may need some pressure to study .So in that case this school is a goo option.But in case he is really studious on his own then he need not go here.Avan eviteayalum nannayikollum.
In case he doesn't clear the test and gets admitted to this school then there is a special batch @ PC Thomas called the bridge batch.It stats in April and there is class in April and May.they cover the entire portion of 11th in these two months and there will be a test after that and PC hostels are allotted on the basis of rank in these tests.

But be careful of one thing .If he has an easy go attitude and they if he joins some other non strict hostel then there will be no pressure to study and ozhappan nalla chance undu.

So my advice would be that if he is really studious on his own then the school may not be necessary.Else you should try for the school and in case he doesn't get it he can go for the backup I mentioned.
Apart from all this there are also some students who become really home sick and drop out of PC Hostel.But make sure that if he is really brilliant but angane eirunnu padikkatha type anengil vere oru hostelilum cherkaruthu,avane PC hostelil thanne cherkannam,allengil ozhappi pokum(from anubhavam).
In case you need any specific advice you can ask me..I have studied @ PC Thomas
