Keel Laying Ceremony of Indigenously Designed FAC(M)-4 being built for Pakistan Navy

Very nice stealth design. Stealth is clearly visible in design. Good job.

No. 4 does not have any ramp for boat in the back. it seems to carry some sort of anti air missile in the front? any idea why to eliminate the rear ramp?
Yeah we can say its another class. probably Azmat-II
Just because there are some difference or modifications, that doesn't mean it is not basically the Azmat.

There may not be a boat ramp, but then again it is a very general depiction and it may well that the actual ship is yet different (i.e. we may not be able to see a ramp but that doesn't necessarily mean there isn't or won't be one).

Boat ramp and different missiles aside, other visible differences are the continuous deck edge forward of the bridge (as opposed one with 'a bite' out of it on Azmat). Also, the forward side of the superstructure is different, with only 1 center window instead of 3 on Azmat, 3 side windows instead of 2 on Azmat, and smooth bridge side with 4 windows and no wings as compared to 2 windows and protruding bridgewings on Azmat. These differences may represent improvements in RCS reduction.

The single center window reminds of the superstructure of the pair of 49 meter FAC-Ms for the navy of Myanmar.

Check out the depiction of no. 2 versus no. 4> Yet different forward superstructure.

This gives better view of stern area: I've enlarged this image and there does appear to be a RIB on deck near the bottom of the left most missile tube, plus what may be a crane. Can't tell if there's a ramp, but the boats positioning on starboard suggests there isn't (I would expect a ramp to be centermounted, although that doesn't necessarily need to be the case)

Excellent News. Congratulations!
Which missiles do you think it would be carrying?

After a lengthy debate on various possibilities in a discussion on some other thread on this forum we reached a conclusion that these are most probably for C602. Will make lot of sense as well since we are already using the C602 missile in shape of land based AShM.

@Penguin @Quwa @Bilal Khan (Quwa)

Also as per our discussion, it was concluded that these tubes seems adequate to carry Babur LACM as well (if required) as the dimensions are pretty much the same.

Edit: @Penguin ok i see that you are already here. :)

Sir @Penguin You are very precise and right. Hats off to you. Design is definitely enhanced and it may be different to end product. Over all its a good experience for Maritime Technology Complex.

Sir You are right as well. As per the CNS the weapon system is indigenous, So I suspect if C-602 is indigenous, BUT it may be possible.

I think its better to have anti ship missile with land attack capability like harpoon rather than seperate versions for ship and land but there may be specific needs I guess

Congrats to PN.. might we see production of corvettes and frigates in the near future..

Does the 1500 ton msa-boat has hello hanger or just landing pad?
Hanger, by the looks here.

Depends.

The USN's Office of Naval Intelligence believes it likely that the YJ-62 has a longer range than the 150 nautical miles (170 mi; 280 km) of the C-602 export version, at least 400 km. The YJ-62A is credited with a range of up to 400 km (250 mi; 220 nmi). It has a 210 kg (460 lb) warhead. The missile has an inertial guidance system using GPS and BeiDou data, and an active terminal sensor.

The CM-602G land-attack version of the C-602 has a range of 290 km (180 mi), a 480 kg (1,060 lb) penetrating blast/fragmentation warhead, and an inertial guidance system using GPS data which may be augmented to provide man-in-the-loop control.

You see a difference in guidance system (antiship missile has active terminal sensor that land attack version doens't have), warhead weight (480kg in the land attack version versus 210kg in the antiship version, no doubt due to there no longer being an active terminal sensor), for a given range of (at least) 280-290km.

Note that the land attack warhead is comparable to the Tomahawk cruise missile warhead weight (Conventional: 1,000 pounds / 450 kg) and the antiship warhead comparable to Harpoon (488 pounds / 221 kg). The warheads will also likely be optimized for their most likely target (blast v. penetration effects)

Fitting FAC(M)-4 with an anti-ship capable Babur would be very interesting. ISPR said the Babur-2 is capable of hitting targets on land and at sea, so 700-km coverage aboard the FAC(M)-4 and the PN's frigates would be a solid addition.

Speaking to the future, it would be interesting if the PN could upgrade the Azmat-class with an AESA radar, such as the Aselsan Naval Search Radar or Saab Sea Giraffe 1X. It would be like having low-level radars at sea, which Pakistan can network into a wider ISR network.

PMSA boats will be having missiles in war only
they be will having guns st normal

This means 8 FAC 4 Azmat class + 4 improved Azmat class FAC.
