ISTANBUL. January 13. KAZINFORM - Istanbul University "Marmara" has held the International Scientific and Practical Conference called ''From the Caspian to the Black Sea" organized by the Economic Association "EcoEurasia".
The event was attended by the rector of "Marmara" University Professor Zafer Gul, General Secretary of the Turkic Council Halil Akinci, MP of Turkey Ismail Safi, Rector of ''Ahylkelek" University professor Roin Kavrelishvili, associate professor of the Azerbaijan University Elshen Bagirzade, Kazakhstani universities faculty members as well as faculty composition of Turkish universities, heads of strategic research centers, representatives of public and political circles of Turkey.

During the event scientists from different countries shared their views on the opportunities for further cooperation in the economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Opening the conference, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Turkey Zhanseit Tuymebayev stressed the importance of collaboration in the framework of regional integration processes.

"Izzet Baysal" University Professor Kamer Kasim emphasizing the role of Kazakhstan in regional integration processes noted that Kazakhstan headed by President Nazarbayev makes a significant contribution to the development of the Kazakh-Turkish relations and regional integration.

Head of "ORSAM'' Center for Strategic Studies Hassan Kanbolat said that Kazakhstan is the initiator of important international processes such as ''G Global'' and ''ATOM''.

In the framework of the conference there were organized photo exhibition on the achievements of Kazakhstan during the years of independence, Exhibition of Kazakhstani books translated into the Turkish language including selected works of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
