Yes, I think so.

I think the size of the hybrid ship is fine because that torpedo is just one of many weapon systems, but it would be good to have small dedicated ships mainly for that torpedo.

If the strategy is really to approach enemy ships near 100km range and torpedo it, then I think this hybrid should be a smaller class, e.g. 1000 ton, to maximise it's stealth. Then, the classic torpedo boat will truly make a come back lol.

On a serious note, if this hybrid is based on the Sukanya OPV, then I'm worry about its survivability. OPV hulls are usually not built to a high survivability standard like a corvette/frigate hull.

Two reliable sources already said that it would be a hybrid of OPV/Kamorta class.So it would be much different than normal Saryu OPV.

One thing, you talking about Saryu class?

Saryu class is not on sale, it just a patrol vessel with OTO gun, and nothing more.

Bro, GRSE already filed a tender for Kamotra hybrid for Philippines Frigate procurement program, that will have 16 Barak 8 and 8 BrahMos.

I dont have any pics of it.Design would be Kamorta having OPV touch.AFAIK it is a customised version for Vietnam .So you cant get the clear picture until the exporting.

Can't be radar underwater, it should be sonar, but at a 100 km range, I don't really know, maybe it has a radio link.

that is something I don´t understand the japanese. we are strategic partner. shinzo abe says he wants to help us in the south china sea dispute. he knows we are outgunned by the chinese. he is aware too, if china controls the sea lanes, japan´s fate is at stake. but until yet, his government has only promised to donate some decade old outdated patrol ships so far. no warships. nothing.
