JL-3 Test

Most lethal on paper only.

But in the reality, your Ohio class SSBNs will have near retiring age by 2025, and the lead ship of your Columbia class will not be ready until 2030.

When China commissioned many Type 096 SSBNs that equipped with the JL-3 SLBM, this title will inevitably belong to the PLAN.

In 2025 all 14 Ohios will still be active.

As for Columbia, it will be the most advanced, capable SSBN in history once inducted.

Even the youngest of the Ohio class boomers will have a nuclear reactor about 28 years old, just two years away from its design limit, and leadship of its successor class is still 5 years away.

This doesn't sound like a healthy torch passing procedure.

We are closing the gaps between USA and China.
This itself is remarkable considering we have a humble start.

I don't understand why those members from my own country claim like that all day in this forum.

All China is doing today is playing "catch up". We are far from "equal to" to US in terms of military power, forget about OVERTAKE.

.
Realistically, US will remain the most powerful naval force for the next 20 years. China only started modernizing its navy in the past decade, and will need some time to fuse operational knowledge and new toys.

.
That's what I said, they can keep parroting like that we have less than 50 nukes, even fewer than India or Pakistan, like a broken record.

But this will not stop that we will soon deploy the most powerful SLBM in the history and launch the maiden flight for the most advanced stealth bomber in the world.

Most powerful SLBM? Zero evidence to support that, and I posted an article on the previous page about why the US retains the most capable SLBM and nuclear force in the world.

And most advanced stealth bomber in the world? You can't possibly be serious right now. On one hand, we have a country that has never developed a stealth bomber in its history or flown a single combat sortie. On the other, we have a country that has decades of experience designing and developing the most advanced bomber designs in the world and has flown tens of thousands of combat sorties. And currently the first B-21 bomber is in production in Palmdale, California with first public rollout in mid 2021.

You see, this is why no one except the PDF Chinese Brigade and its bootlickers takes you seriously.

If you consider those naval bases, probably they will remain most powerful naval power for next 50 years.
But China maybe able to changlleng it's hegemony in Pacific ocean in 20 years. For rest of the world, US Navy will remain unchanllenged.

Mr F-22Raptor thinks having bases around the world means it can project power everywhere. Certainly not in the Chinese seas where the US Navy will be completely overwhelmed by the Chinese Navy. US will not deploy all the assets in the Pacific just to challenge China because that will give plenty of opportunities for other countries to fill in the gap left behind by the US.

Some people are either naïve or just plain dumb enough to assume the US would be helpless in a nuclear attack.

When in reality, any nuclear first strike against the United States will result in massive nuclear Retaliation through the nuclear Triad

Enough said..

@ChineseTiger1986 I don't think I can ever wrap my mind around their blindness. They see this

and do not believe. They see this
and do not believe. They count it up themselves
https://www.forbes.com/sites/hisutton/2019/12/15/china-is-building-an-incredible-number-of-warships/
and still they do not believe. I can keep going in this vein but I'll stop here; I've made my point.

Here we have one fool who thinks his declining, decrepit, soon to spiral into civil war "country" can pull some rabbit out of a hat if only he babbles enough Pentagonese, and another who thinks the greatest industrial engine ever assembled by man couldn't crank out nuclear warheads by the thousands in the blink of an eye.

They truly are the living embodiment of the saying "none are so blind as those who will not see."

Congratulations, China has now developed 2 weapon systems the US developed decades ago.

When the PLA develops a battle network as advanced as the US Navy's NIFC-CA let me know. In the meantime, keep slobbering over those "new" weapons.

And their stupid enough to believe that those "30 year old ships" have the same capability as the day it was commissioned. As if, they haven't been upgraded with the latest radars, software, EW, and weapons available. Talk about stupid.

The US Navy can project power anywhere in the world, including the Western Pacific. It operates daily in China's near abroad.

And China will regret tangling with the US military when 8 B-1 bombers launch nearly 200 LRASMs in a multiaxial attack into the Taiwan Strait or SCS. And then the several thousand more antiship weapons on top of that. Or when we annihilate Chinese commercial shipping lanes. Enjoy

A video presentation of the US Aegis system. Currently installed on the most sophisticated US Navy warships and in the process of being set up throughout the entire range of NATO naval forces, this missile defense system was completely knocked out in the Black Sea by a Russian electronic warfare device.

As the Russian jet approached the US vessel, the electronic device disabled all radars, control circuits, systems, information transmission, etc. on board the US destroyer. In other words, the all-powerful Aegis system, now hooked up - or about to be - with the defense systems installed on NATO’s most modern ships was shut down, as turning off the TV set with the remote control.

The Russian Su-24 then simulated a missile attack against the USS Donald Cook, which was left literally deaf and blind. As if carrying out a training exercise, the Russian aircraft - unarmed - repeated the same maneuver 12 times before flying away.

After that, the 4th generation destroyer immediately set sail towards a port in Romania.
Since that incident, which the Atlanticist media have carefully covered up despite the widespread reactions sparked among defense industry experts, no US ship has ever approached Russian territorial waters again.
According to some specialized media, 27 sailors from the USS Donald Cook requested to be relieved from active service.

The Trident II D5 was a design done by nearly 40 years ago.

The JL-3 was designed with much more advanced high techs in the 21st century, including the much more powerful solid-fuel propellant than the NEPE-75.

We are not Russia or France, our budget and talent pool are not constrained.

By 2025, you will be running 14 Ohio SSBNs with 12 of these being over 30 years old, and the youngest two being 29 years old and 28 years old respectively.

And the leadship of the Columbia class will still be 5 years away from the deployment.

Does this sound great to you?

That's right. Just like DF-41 is unmatched in terms of payload, mobility and range from anything in US nuclear arsenal.

Because the size constraint of the SSBN, the size of the JL-3 will shrink a little bit in comparison to the DF-41.

I guess the JL-3 will not measure more than 14 meters, and the maximum takeoff weight will not exceed 60 tons.

Even the JL-2 got a more powerful solid-fuel propellant than the Trident II D5. However, back in 20 years ago, China didn't have a lot of experience to design an intercontinental SLBM, that's why the overall design of the JL-2 was inferior to the D5, even the upgraded JL-2A couldn't completely compensate such gap.

Once again, you ignore the fact that the US nuclear arsenal is the most lethal in the world. Just like you ignored in the other thread the fact that the US military can decapitate the PLA Navy with a multiaxial LRASM barrage from a couple squadrons of B-1 bombers. And theres little China can do to stop it. Not to mention the fact we can destroy your commercial fleet and economy with it.

The reality that you are unwilling to face is that the US military is at the beginning stages of its largest modernization undertaken since the 1980s. A huge amount of new weapons systems, upgrades, and concepts will enter the force over the next decade. The end result will be a fully integrated multidomain battle force capable of defeating any adversary across the spectrum of conflict. As I said, you have a very poor grasp of US capabilities.

The Ford is a first of class ship with a huge amount of new technology. Issues are to be expected, and will be resolved.
ha ha
quite naive
when US military will be decapitating the PLA Navy with a multiaxial LRASM barrage from a couple squadrons of B-1 bombers. Not to mention the fact that you can destroy chinese commercial fleet and economy with it, you think China will be sitting idle ? May be entire North America will have been evaporated before that
