Anything for our bengali brothers. What's ours is yours :)

Join us in the production of block 3 and produce it at home. From yours and our funds we can develop an AESA, 5th generation Avionics and a top-notch EW suite :D
problem is we do not have money for such development, we spend only 1.5% of GDP :-) fking government

different figures on internet, 1.6 and 1.8, afer intake redesign, its known to be as 1.8.
mach speed 2+ is needed. well you can not expect more from a single engine aircraft :-)

its not necessarily required mate, we are not in 60-70s where speed was a necessary requisit for air combat, If that was the case, we wouldnt see the f-18s and f-35s having Mach 1.7-1.8 as per sources available.

Here is some old but good info on jf-17....

Il-76 Engine Testbed

A picture of the Il-76 engine testbed landing at CFTE is shown here. The aircraft was modified from a former Russian Il-76SKIP/Be-976 missile tracking aircraft (S/N RA-76456). The modification including the removal of the radar system took place in 2004 at the LII Flight Research Institute and the aircraft was handed over to China in mid-2005. The inner engine on the port side has been converted into an engine testbed, an arrangement similar to Russian Il-76LL engine testbed variant. Two large wingtip pods were retained which now might house engine monitoring instrument. Two small pods of unknown purpose (cameras?) can be seen attached to the rear fuselage. The IL-76 engine testbed (S/N 760) is in service with CFTE, replacing the old Tu-16 engine testbed. The aircraft is expected to be involved in the development of WS-10, WS-15, WS-18 and WS-20 series turbofan engines. A WS-20 prototype was first seen being tested on the testbed in April 2013. - Last Updated 1/4/14

Can Anyone translate this it does mention 100kn RD 33

This is "strictly" the translation of the above page so dont go on and make stories of it.

In the above article, says Pinkov, that "according to sources" the Chinese blamed the Russian engine for the crush of the JF-17 back in 2011. Klimov says it was unfair to simply attribute blame to their engine, as they were not even approached for their input in the investigation. They attribute the blame to Chinese fly-by-wire system, as the crush seems to suggest a sudden loss of power, and the engine is designed to give pre-warnings if it is about to fail. The Russians therefore claim that it was likely that there is some flaws in the Chinese software that did not detect any early warning signals.

Pinkov goes on to say, that according to their sources, the Pakistanis is approaching the Russians to increase direct technical cooperation between the two (bypassing China).

He goes on to claim that "as confirmed by some senior Western experts in the industry", that Pakistan has slowed down the production of JF-17, partly to divert funds to the procurement of F-16C/D fighters, and partly because they feel the JF-17 program had advanced too fast, and as a result of the haste some technical issues are discovered during service.

According to Pinkov, the Chinese side told the Pakistanis that the JF-17 programme simply cannot be allowed to fail, and urged the Pakistani side to inform the Chinese any problems or issues in the first instance.

I'm amazed PAF is still keeping H-2 & H-4 under wrap. Don't know what's so special about them

H-2 is pretty well known but H-4 remains a mystery, so does mupsow.

Mupsow was evolved in to Ra'ad. H-2 is a PGM of 60 KM, yet it is not shown to "pakistani public" still after 10 years of it's inception while Takbir is made public. H-4 remains a true mystery.
