Hi,

First of all you are putting your own convenient twist to what I didnot say---.

No---you don't have a choice in what you face----but you do have a choice of how to act---when you are flying an inferior platform with a poor turning radius than the enemy, then you don't engage yourself presenting your weaker position---.

Come on kid---where is your thinking cap---is that how you want to fight your enemy---starting from a weaker position and keep getting deeper into the hole---whereas you have advantage of speed and you intentionally give that away.

What happened to that second plane---why don't you kids ask that question.

What happened is that this guy panicked---in fear he made the first bad move---crossing in front of the F 15---second bad move---he didnot bug out at high speed----third bad move---he tried to out maneavouer the F 15 at lower speed---fourth bad move---he evaded the first missile but still didnot bug out----fifth bad move again not buggin out when the second missile failed---still no acceleration on part of the iraqi---that was the sixth bad move---the seventh and sometimes the un-luckiest move was to offer his back end one more time to the short range american missile.

He gave seven oppurtunities to the american to be shot down----in all through this combat---there was not one 360 deg loop made.

What happened was tht nobody told the iraqi pilot about John Boyd. Seems like in total panic the pilot lost situational awareness---fear siezed his actions and he forgot to take the very basic action----ie---put the pedal to the metal.

The JF-17 will not fly at Farnborough, but is slated to give a flight demonstration at the Zhuhai Air Show in November, the official said.

I had posted long before that the bold part could be the major reason for not flying display at Farnbrough, as Chinese would have liked the JF-17 to be displayed for the first time at their own international airshow, rather then being shown at some other 3rd place.

In 2008 at Zuhai Air Show, there were strong chances of JF-17 appearance, but due to some reasons it couldn't, rather J-10 was shown to the world.

These dont look like a fuel tank to me........Anti ship Missile perhaps?

When I posted about the C-802A, I noticed the "A" is a later and more advanced version than the C-802. I believe it is the same with the SD-10. The SD-10A is actually the Mk-II version. ... ... Its like, "The 1st Law of thermodynamics." actually being the "2nd" and them ending up calling the other the "Zeroth law of thermodynamics!". http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A780266

The pictures look great.

China and Pakistan have reportedly signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a stealth version of a light-weight fighter aircraft being jointly produced by them to match MiG-21 warplane, a work horse of the Indian Air Force.

JF-17 Thunder, also known as FC-1, being jointly built by Kamra-based Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) and Chengdu Aerospace Company (CAC) today made its first appearance at an international air show having flown in here after making refueling stops in Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

The plane, which has been in development in one form or another since 1991, is a symbol of cooperation between China and Pakistan and the first assembled version brought out by the Kamra plant, delivered in November last year, according to 'Show News,' a special issue of defence journal Aviation Week for the Farnborough Air Show.

"The two (countries) have also reportedly signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a stealth variant of the JF-17 Thunder," it said.

The journal said that Pakistan Air Force (PAK) is expected to acquire around 250 JF-17s, but this may be a split of 100 in the JF-17 configuration, being displayed at the air show here, and 150 of the stealth multi-role combat aircraft (MCRA) between 2015 and 2025.

A Russian-built Klimov RD-93 engine -- a specialised single-engine fighter variant of the Mig 29’s RS-33 powerplant, powers the plane. The first prototype of the warplane flew in 2003 and the first two Chinese-made versions were handed over to the PAF in March 2007.

Show organisers said that the two JF-17 fighter planes would not fly as part of the air show. "The aircraft has not completed its full release to service in Pakistan," the journal said, quoting a member of the flight control committee.

"Although that full release is only month away, the PAF is also today in what is for them new territory. Farnborough is their very first event of this kind ever," it said.

mean if its true then :victory::victory::victory::victory:
:china::pakistan:

I don't think that this article has any credibility because they think that a stealth fighter is needed to counter the 50 year old MIG-21.
