JF-17 Block-3 -- Updates, News & Discussion

The information on the Azerbaijan deal has some elements that are strange.
The claim is that they are already delivered, but why show PAF aircraft at ADEX in Baku? I think they have yet to be built...

Also, is this 'confirmation' from PAF is available in public domain somewhere? In a government channel? The only thing I can find (as you can read on PAC's thread) that the Pakistani JF-17 Block-III was presented to the president of Azerbaijan. No word on any deal there.

Strangely the Azerbaijani claim that these already in service in Azerbaijan ("The jets have already been integrated into the arsenal of Azerbaijan's Air Force.") Surely someone would have seen them flying around at Kamra before that?

So this still is a historic deal, but I want to see them flying before I believe it, or am I simply to skeptical? 8-)

The JF-17 Thunder program has been a game-changer for Pakistan’s defense industry and the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). Through this collaboration with China, Pakistan has transitioned from merely importing to co-developing its combat aircraft. Supporting over 15,000 jobs in Pakistan’s aviation and defense sectors. Reducing dependence on foreign suppliers, driving economic growth, and strengthening Pakistan’s defense autonomy. Future advancements in the JF-17 program promise to boost export potential, reinforce regional partnerships, and further enhance Pakistan's defense capabilities.

The JF-17 Thunder Block III, Pakistan's advanced 4.5-generation fighter jet, is currently on static display at the Bahrain International Airshow 2024. This latest variant, co-developed by Pakistan and China, is equipped with significant upgrades, including an active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, enhanced avionics, and improved weapons systems, positioning it as a capable multirole combat aircraft. Its presence at the airshow allows Pakistan to showcase the fighter's capabilities to an international audience, highlighting its potential for export and reinforcing Pakistan’s growing role in advanced aerospace development.

The PakAF Block 3 JF-17C had a good selection of weapons positioned around it today.
A third Block III squadron will probably stand up next year
