JF-17 Block-3 -- Updates, News & Discussion

Hi,

Not really---. If the opponent has MRL's---the S400 will be installed beyond the reach of the MRL's on the border---. Then to top it off---we have standoff weapons---then ALCM's--and other weapons---.

So---no---there no complete denial of air space---.
Yes, and dude is too much intimidated by the system. One should respect but not intimidated. There is no 100% effective system. Some degree of Effectiveness also lost during war time.
Pakistan will get some insider knowledge from Kardesh and from iron brothers too.
....and long range MLRL will play a role. India only getting 5 battalions, that's 32 misses per battalion.
They are a much bigger danger for refueling tanker fleet and AEW&C.

So JF -17 Block III was unveiled in Dec 2019.
PAF and PAC keeping tabs on AESA RADAR and engine?
When would this information be made public?

Why should it be made public? what benefit would it offer to PAF other than letting the enemy know the true capabilities of the fighter that would serve as an eye-opener for their next misadventure?

Sir, what will be so secret about it.
RD-93 is a derivative of Kilmov RD-33 used in mig-29 fulcrum, so india already knows characteristics of RD-93. Probably Block III will use another derivative of the advanced RD-33MK, which india will know already unless it is Chinese origin WS-13.
As for RADAR, there are three contenders: Nanjing Research Institute of Electronics Technology (NRIET) KLJ-7A, Leihua Electronic Technology Research Institute (LETRI) LKF601E, and Leonardo Grifo-E.
Most probably it will be one of chinese origin.
Of course PAF and PAC will keep certain information classified about RADAR and avionics, but disclosing the RADAR model and engine is no secret.
After induction it will appear at Farnborough and other shows so brochures will have that info.
