Indigenous doesnt preclude Chinese influence. Can and likely be a JV since we need R&D help. But @messiach MA'AM and some senior members already told us we are working Indigenous AESA for Block-3 sir
yes, Block-1 has minimal to no composites, Block-2 has 8% composites but from the news and by some senior member here Block-3 have 35% compositesComposites in wings?
As per respected member @messiach ... the AESA is being developed in-house with foreign assistance. This in-house development could be based on any one of the three KLJ-7A versions (fixed-plate, swivel-plate & 3-sided). What it really is will only become clear when officially revealed. Now lets just wait on radar and engine confirmation. Might be wishful thinking but I suspect it could be the KLJ-7A variant with side facing antenna's. This is only the first prototype, there will be more subsystems to integrate.
Yes JV most probably sirIndigenous doesnt preclude Chinese influence. Can and likely be a JV since we need R&D help.
Longer ventral fins also in block-3
New Recruit
Yes
If this indeed is WS 13 then get ready for ToT and local Assembly and possibly further.
Premier always used for testing new jet, and there are lot of minor changes in block-3 like longer/thinner nose, new equipment on spine/tail, longer ventral fins/HUD is Changed, to test these minor structural changes we need we need a prototypeIf there is no or minor changes from B2 to B3 then why it is in yellow color? It could have got away with same B2 with most of the changes inside. why to go with prototype ? There got to be something which we don't know yet.
No confirmation of engine so farIf the engine is ws-13 then there must be more hardpoints, right?
The FBW system has been redone. That means how the controls respond will need fresh calibrations ... hence changes under the skin is considerable. Could be more use of composite material to bring the empty weight further down. All these may result in different center of gravity/mass. Hence a new prototype required to validate and tweak the changes made.If there is no or minor changes from B2 to B3 then why it is in yellow color?
