As they say, when you go to China, there will be some construction going on. They have an over capacity and it won't take much to divert the resources.

Japs weren't willing to give bribe to Sindh government, while the Chinks have no such problem. Hence they got the project.




Doesn't matter if the nation is dying under the burden of debt, atleast Bhutto is alive and well.

It is true. Few days ago, I met a retired chief executive engineer of KDA who was in team of KCR. He told me that Sindh govt is not interested in this project because Japanese are not offering them incentives while chines don't have problem. As I have worked with Huawei in Pakistan and I know how they manipulate and bribe the people to get the project.

When a genuine tender is given ,every one will chose , Low rates with Best Services ,
Now China is Doing That ,

As i dont know Much about Japanese investment in india i wont Say anything about it ,
But 1 Point about ghost Towns , and Gwadar

Majority of Current Pakistani Population is in Villages , And Majority of population is not even connected Properly
in Upcoming Few Decades Pakistan will have to distribute its majority population throughout Pakistan to Save Resources and Exploit the Benefit of having Cheap and young Labour , Pakistan needs to start Loads of These Projects and Try to invest in Population otherwise there is not ,
And Majority of these countries lacked 1 Point which was Human Capital

For Gwadar even if we take china Out from the equation and count them as a normal investor
Pakistan Will need Deep Water port to shift burden from Karachi , Pakistan has 200M untapped population ,

1 major Reason for India and Chinas Growth was there Human Capital, which was educated , young with Skills
Now its Pakistan's turn in few years and lets see what happens , are they able to use it or not

Water is not that big of problem and can be sorted you have example right on the other side KSA , UAE

And Loads of other country do that Sea is the biggest source of water
Its was expensive not now
Pakistan needs new water source better to investment in it early rather than just waiting

KSA and UAE have a lot of energy to expend for drinking water. pakistan does not have the luxury

And Pakistan can build dual purpose plant which can do both jobs

Yeah, I agree Japs are credible. But as of now Chinese influence is very high in Pakistan People are too optimistic about it. So, swimming against the flow is not helpful. Hope things will turn out well.

COST is not cheap for political reasons
Not because of they dont have natural resources to generate cheap energy

How much pakistan is investing in green long term energy projects ?

Pakistani natural water reserves are depleting
What will they do after that , its better to plan ahead rather than wait
