Would a sukkirite be able to or be willing to pay for the ticket for bullet train which would cost almost as an airline ticket?
while an infra that provides faster/quicker access is needed, it should not be on top of the list. I totally agree with you that water, sanitation, education and health should be the first priority, followed by intra-city infra upgradation and employment opportunities.Kuttay day putra tere say Karachi main pani supply nhn kia jata, interior Sindh main log jhonprion main reh rahay hain without access to toilets, Sukkur is a glorified slum with broken roads, aur tu bullet train bana raha hai.
I really want to know what these guys smoke or consume before making these sort of statements.
We deserve assholes like this to rule over us.
Ullu ka patha.
Don't worry, it will be subsidized at Rs 500 with taxpayer money, so that Zardari and baby billo can have their pictures on a pet project.
Shame on you for such disgraceful comment on Zardari mafia capabilities. They make a lot profit than your propoganda. He is mister ten times (1000 percent) not 10 percent . Like Karachi public transport project ran for 10 years, billions spent and only few busses deliveredAnother lucrative money skimming project in Sindh. Memon and Zardari skim off 10% (or is it 17% allowing for inflation ) of project costs into their own pockets.. just like sharif lot do, which is how they could afford lavish properties abroad..
Relax guys here is the details you need.while an infra that provides faster/quicker access is needed, it should not be on top of the list. I totally agree with you that water, sanitation, education and health should be the first priority, followed by intra-city infra upgradation and employment opportunities.
if he wants to have a faster railway line, then the provincial govt should pool in resources with Pak Rail and collaborate+cooperate on the ML-1 upgradation project.
another far-fetched, conspiracy sounding idea is that they are preparing to steal the credit for the upgradation section of ML-1 that is in in Sindh later on, while all the work and cost will be borne by the Federal govt.
Only way forward is starting ML 1 after next electionsRelax guys here is the details you need.
Firstly ML 1has been around from Musharaf's era. No one is actually starting the construction because it is the flagship project of CPEC and we know how our establishment is hesitates in going towards china. ML 1 is second biggest civilian thing under CPEC after Gawader port.
Secondly, only way forward for Pak railway is ML 1 with transpirency. PDM just hiked the cost of project by 50 percent to 10 billion dollars. Pakistanis can imagine the amount of commissions in this.
ML 1 cost hike
Thirdly, it's is impossible for Pakistan to turn ML 1 into bullet train project because it will at least cost 50 to 70 billion dollars in cash if loan is taken one can imagine the cost.
Fourthly, PPP is just fooling Sindhis to get a loan on a project they will never even do conceptual studies on because Karachi to Sukur bullet train will cost us more than double the amount of full ML 1 even with most economical bullet train maker China (without Zardari commission) and nobody is going to give that much loan to this govt or any Pakistan govt in next few years.
For Karachi to Sukur bullet train project cost estimate just look at this project from china
8 billion pound for just 142 KM lane
Jakarta high speed rail

Correction they are digging Pakistan gravewho the hell will travel from Karachi to Sukkar on a bullet train?
are they nuts or is this another way to fill pockets. it will be a flop project.
people living in Sind are so poor that they even travel on train without ticket.
besides such projects run on successful routes. a successful route can be between two cosmopolitan cities. where working and business class travel a lot.
with such an expensive project they will never recover cost and run the project on subsidies which in the end will stop with huge losses.
i have so many reservations about ML1 project which is now going to cost USD10 billion. how will we pay this loan? i find no answer.
are we crazy to grab every lucrative project that is on loan by China? we are digging our own grave.
Existing setup and trains however will remain rotten, and ofcourse keep yielding corruption money for people like Sindh govt.View attachment 895238
