Italian woman raped while taking a taxi in India

[Global Network comprehensive report] According to India's "First Post" website reported on July 2, Mumbai police arrested a 27-year-old tour guide on the 2nd, suspected of involvement in an Italian woman taking a taxi in Mumbai, India last month when raped.
The defendant, Rakesh Nandi, was arrested in the south of Mumbai on the evening of the 2nd. Two days ago, an Italian woman filed a complaint with the police. Nandi used to be a tour guide and the case is currently under investigation.
Police said that on the day of the incident, she traveled in Mumbai and boarded a bus as part of the tour. She met the defendant in a car trip on June 14. Nandi claimed to be a tour guide and the victim hired him.
At about 7 pm on the afternoon of the same day, after Juhu’s bus tour ended, the defendant proposed to show the victim a movie superstar’s residence and promised to send her to the hotel where she lived. The victim claimed that the defendant had booked a taxi, stopped to buy wine on the way and forced her to drink, and the defendant subsequently made an inappropriate move and raped her in a taxi.
After the incident, the woman sought help from the Italian Embassy, but the embassy suggested that she report the case to the local police.
