Is Singapore Air force only second to India in South Asia?

I just checked the details of Singapore Air force after the thread of Singapore Navy.

I am surprised, I think quality wise capabilities of Singapore Air force only second to Indian Air force comparing to the South Asian region.

In February 2003, Singapore joined the JSF program's System Design and Development (SDD) Phase, as a Security Co-operation Participant (SCP).

Singapore will be buying up to 100 F-35 jets.

The first deliveries of F-35 jets expected between 2018 – 2020

Technologically superior? I must agree , i met a Singaporean F-16 Block 52+ pilot a while ago - sounded like a highly trained , highly professional pilot.

Singapore needs 4 KC-135 Tanker refuellers and 4 E-2C hawkeyes for a city? Oh man, considering we have 4 Tankers and only 2 AWACS right now, and total of 8 ordered, the Singaporean AF needs look huge!!!

And this much for an area of 694 square km.

Honestly, I really admire a island nation like Singapore could afford such a strong arm force.
But in case of war, such a huge concentration of fighting force on a small island would be so ideal for a siege.

singapore air force already operates 9 tanker refuelers and 8 awacs aircraft's. Check the list again, they will also get F-35 jets.
