Border at Chaman shut after Afghans burn Pakistani flag


QUETTA: Pakistan has closed its border with Afghanistan indefinitely after a group of Afghan demonstrators attacked the Friendship Gate at Chaman and set the Pakistani flag on fire, it emerged on Friday.

The incident that took place on Thursday evening has resulted in suspension in the movement of trucks involved in trade shipments between the two countries and carrying supplies for Nato forces in Afghanistan.

Sources said that a large number of Afghan nationals, celebrating the 97th anniversary of their country’s independence day, gathered near the Friendship Gate after marching through the streets of the Spin Boldak town across the border. They carried placards and banners inscribed with anti-Pakistan slogans.

Shouting slogans against Pakistan, the Afghan demonstrators started pelting the Friendship Gate with stones, smashing windowpanes of the building.

I feel sorry for these Afghans its against our custom to force our guests out but Afghans need to take responsibility of their own

but the truth is far from our perception
Pakistan is unlikely to send those refugees yet

I think it is the best time to send those #Namak-Harams back, especially from Baluchistan. Any Pakistani who still has any sympathy left for them should think twice. I think we had enough of them, if we can't send them back now we never will. With each passing day all Pakistanis are able to see their true colors. I don't know why we fools can't take any strong action. Name a single country which allows other country people cross borders without VISA ?

well his brothers and cousins are in Afghan parliment and ANA servicemen and he is in senate of Pakistan

In case of major conflict with India, we Pakistanis will have no choice to migrate to Afghanistan & Iran. Both these countries are meant to support our back and we are meant to back them up. I wonder how they will respond the favor???
We supported them for more than three decades and still they dance on fingers of India and that of dozen people Government in Kabul.
We need to bring "radical twist" in Afghanistan in our favor, other wise such cross border clashes will continue.
Afghan don't know they are being used, and they act as "Namak haram" thanks to certain mind set developed under the influence of thick nationalism and racism ....... We need to avoid confronting Afghanistan in any field and need to power up proxy elements for achieving goals which are in favor of both Pakistan & Afghanistan......

A very needed step at the moment. These refugees, that we treated them as our guests, are found involved in crimes. During the the raids and combing ops, it has been revealed that they are most by facilitating those NDS and ANA agents herein. Our mistake was to give them a place whereby they may feel themselves in Pakistan as their home but unfortunately, the greedy breed, once again sold the dignity yet found involved in anti-Pakistan elements. So also, sending them back will give the Pakistanis more area for the business and jobs in lower to mid category like they have jacked everything. It is the time to send them back to let them realize by hard way that we have done for them and Afghanistan.

This is not the Afghans speaking nowadays but the money that talks and they will continue such practice until & unless we deal them with same reaction. These refugees are not just the burden economically but are becoming the most inner threat and security risk for us. Not to forget those leaks that highlighted the elements inside Pakistan that are ready and will follow the orders so these refugees are also like hidden virus that awaiting the activation. They are so national so let them be at their homeland to show more nationality for the country. The level of loyalty is so easy to understand whereby ANA is found selling weapons to the one who wish to pay a handsome amount.


Achakzai is a subject like Najam Sethi and Hamid Mir that start to speak when needed a raise or more money but when dealt becomes the sheep. So it has been enough as well and this alone chapter is needed to be closed accordingly which seems unlikely by current political government.

Guests??? Guests do not abuse their hosts. If guests do this then one's obligation to hospitality becomes null and void.

The afghans will not learn a lesson until we make them miserable much like the Jews of berlin persecuted by Nazi..it is inhumane..but there is no other solution to it as well..Afghans need to be taught a lesson....
