With the Jaguar flying with the EL/M 2052 last week after rigorous ground trials means the Mark-1A will have very little integration problems. This is a good thought process by HAL to minimize risks.
Very important to build on the experience of the Tejas program.
$542 Million already spent on the Mark 2 means it's going ahead as per plans and earlier reports of funding problems have been addressed to a large extent. Also great to hear that the F414 INS6 are already with ADA for testing.
The last few programs by HAL have taken the low risk route and it has worked brilliantly:
HTT 40 with the Do228's Garett engine, LCH/LUH with the Dhruv's Shakti, Hawk production line practices emulated for the Tejas line and producing Cheetals for the AAC till the LUH comes online.
