Oh, it gets worse.
Who gets the get of these two bombs (if, by some awful chance, they meet and procreate)?
I think we both know the answer to that ....
Cheers, Doc

Oh but it does! Esp. if these are also your precious airlift assets, that are vulnerable in any airspace in which there isn't local air superiority (and even then!).
Oh, come on...be realistic.
Have you read the OP yourself? Tell me from which angle does it seem to be an early development? The article clearly claims that Iranian new bomb dwarfs USA's MOAB and Russia's FOAB in yield. How can one make such a tall claim for a product that is in the early development?
Can you elaborate? How did you measure the yield if it has not been tested quite a few times? Also, as your country is obsessed with secrecy, then why would it announce a product that has not been even tested? Just to boast right? And furthermore, the skepticism you face here is due to our past experience with tall claims being made without sufficient evidence. We do not differentiate in sub-forums as it is publicly shared.
No, Pakistani used the superpower word here and this shows your dishonesty so overcome your false national pride and wake up.
Pakistan tested an SLCM Babur-III, so it is in development but we released the not only the footage of the test but also provided some key information. Furthermore, at advanced stages we invite observers to see if our weapon hits the target.
Irony is when these so called iranians who are on false power and false pride ride still thinking that they are living in the old era of shupapower persia, who btw got their *** kicked by arabs, talking big here on pdf are nothing but empty vessels, making noise. Majority of the iranians that i have seen here in europe are ashamed of calling themselves iranis. Filling in asylum applications because they are ashamed of their country and religion. Applying for asylum on the basis of being gays or atheists. And the funny part is they still have iron rod in their neck when you talk to them about the real world. They come in flocks making claims about shupapower persia, how they used to be, how they used to have influence and power. Claiming tech development that is never proven. Accept current realities kiddo. Apparently guy like you who is talking shit out of his mouth need to wake up from his wet dream. You are not living in persia anymore, neither your country have capacity nor you people have capability to be something. Come out your false pride kiddo and you better watch your mouth before calling names to Pakistanis. Next time you use words like that for Pakistanis i will show you inscription written on the bottom hole of your country which is raped by almost every present /past super powers now, boning it to their satisfaction.
Brother, you don't need to engage these wannabe-relevant kids. Neither their is any need to explain to a person like him anything. His posting and level of engagement shows his level of intellect.
In principle, by weight, yes. Recall MOAB itself, designed to be delivered by a C-130 Hercules, primarily the MC-130E Combat Talon I or MC-130H Combat Talon II variants, weighs 9.8 tons .
C-130
Payload: 19.50 ton (C-130J), 19.958 ton (C-130J-30), 20.4 ton (C-130H)
Il-76
Payload: 42 ton (Il-76M), 48 ton (Il-76MD), 60 ton (Il-76MD-90A)
The smaller but heavier US' Massive Ordnane Pentetrator weighs 14 tons but it is not in tended for C130: each of the U.S. Air Force's B-2s is to be able to carry two 14-ton MOPs.
So, in practice, it would depend on bomb dimensions v cargo hold dimensions
At the OP says:
"“Following a proposal by the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), [Iran’s] Defense Industries [Organization] manufactured a 10-ton bomb. These bombs are at our disposal. They can be launched from Ilyushin aircraft and they are highly destructive,” IRGC Aerospace Force Commander Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said in a Friday TV interview.""
Iran has 3 C-130E/H and 5 Il-76 transports in the regular air force. Plus 3 Il-76 and 9 An-74 with the Aerospace force of the Revolutionary guard corps. If Iran could carry its bombs by C-130, then why didn't they? Instead they chose to use Il-76. IMHO, since An-74 doesn't have enough paylaod, that's either because of the bomb's dimensions relative to cargo hold / cargo bay door dimensions, or because it's a Revolutionary Guard Corps piece of ordnance.
Iran has all the rights to do whatever it feels is good for her. I wish you best of luck in your endeavours. We in Pakistan either get happy or stay indifferent. However if a news is shared with us, we would like to confirm it bro...
A very simple request but some of our Iranian friends have turned this into an issue of national and personal egos and pride and start abusing Pakistan...WTH?
KharMotherOfAllBombs !

Wow, the salt is so strong with you right now. You're very angry at Iran and I don't understand why. Maybe your afraid of a powerful Iran, Nothing you say is based in fact either. You should be patient, time will answer all your questions rather than babbling your mouth on subjects you know nothing of. You need a few history lessons as well my friend.
Just so people dont get wild idea about bombing with an Il-76. Anyway, leaves the point that father/mother of all bombs is determined by YIELD, not the bomb's weight. Good evening.Well even the US has only used it once in the 14 years the MOAB has been available, so think an airlifter can be spared once every one or two decades.
True, though I don't care much about this "mother of/father of" bombs one-upmanship. Even if it carries a standard TNT filling weight of 8,000 (not likely since Iran has more powerful explosives that TNT in production), it is still a new capability than can be useful in specific situations.Just so people dont get wild idea about bombing with an Il-76. Now the US is building a new bomb in response to Iran called" second mother of all bombs "

I don't think this is a thermobaric weapon though. Iran has never announced this capability. At most, there have been some scientific studies but nothing with military backing.
Iranian thermobaric TOWs and Kornets are very popular in Iraq.

We see your ugly faces...your are the miscreants and trouble maker in the middle east...no one likes guys and only it is Pakistanis who used to have soft corner for you but as we see your real face..we are realising our mistake...no wonder Arabs hate you.Loser
India soon or later will kick your ***,little jihadist
What a pity...you don't know what you are missing out..a panacea for you.Did not read.
Are you sure they are thermobaric, thier are no known therombaric weapons developed in Iran which is suprising given how useful and powerful they are. I don't understand why not. Imagine Thermobaric rocket systems like Fajr or even BM-21 grads that Iran can make.
