Dear o dearThe Karrar is a T-72 with makeup to look like a T-90, just another F-313 for propaganda.
Iran needs to stop these bullshit claims of fake achievements and settle for reverse engineering older tech in bulk and incremental upgrades (which it also does to be fair). Insane to think it can somehow match the technological capabilities of a T-90 which has had billions of investment and years of testing.
Apparently T-90 needs of about Billions of investementOh

Karrar is not fake or a mock up.
No immediate need for new battle tanks, thus Army won’t put in major order until they hear what Russia is willing to offer in 2020 and beyond.
Why buy sub par T-90 clone when you can get the real thing with upgraded engine and everything else?
Army is going to play the waiting game, just like the airforce.
That makes no sense though. There is absolutely an immediate need for new battle tanks as proven by the countless ventures and projects Iran underwent to upgrade and supplement its tank fleet. Their tank fleet is ancient and useless against modern weaponry as proven in the Syrian Civil War. Tanks with modern armor and soft and hardkill active protection systems are a necessity. Everyone took this from the war, Syria learned it the hard way, Turkey learned it the hard way and if Iran is smart they wont have to.
