Iranian spies arrested with Turkish passports in Libya

Six male Iranian alleged secret agents were arrested in Trablus, Libya with Turkish passports as two of the documents listed female names, daily Hürriyet has reported.

Libyan authorities also realized that the passports were much older than the photos in them.

Two agents were taken for interrogation by Libyan authorities and the Iranian Embassy was informed of the incident.

The embassy has confirmed that the arrested people were Iranian citizens.

The arrested people said they had pretended to be Turkish citizens to be received sympathetically by locals.

According to claims, the Iranian agents had planned to demonstrate pretending to be Turkish citizens.

Libya’da 6 İranlı ajan, fotoğrafları değiştirilmiş Türk pasaportlarıyla yakalandı. Ajanların yakalanmasına, iki erkek ajanın “Saniye” ve “Sakine” kadın isimleriyle pasaport taşıması yol açtı. Ajanların Libya’da eylem düzenleyip Türkiye’yi fail olarak göstermeyi planladıkları iddia edildi.

Hürriyet'in haberine göre, Libya’da İran vatandaşı 6 ajan, üzerlerinde Türk pasaportlarıyla yakalandı. Ajanların yakalanmasını sağlayan ilginç süreç, iki İranlı erkek ajanın kadın ismiyle pasaport taşıdığının belirlenmesiyle başladı. Şüphelilerin sorguya alınmasının ardından İran Büyükelçiliği devreye girdi. Büyükelçilik, söz konusu kişilerin İranlı olduğunu Libya makamlarına doğruladı. Türk Büyükelçiliği, Dışişleri Bakanlığı aracılığıyla istihbarat birimlerine “acil” kodlu uyarı gönderdi.

Milli İstihbarat Teşkilatı (MİT) görevlileriyle ortak çalışma yürüten Libya güvenlik güçleri, 6 kişinin istihbarat faaliyeti yürüttüklerini tespit etti.

PASAPORTLAR ESKİ FOTOĞRAFLAR YENİ

Trablus’ta önceki gün düzenlenen operasyonda 6 kişi gözaltına alındı. Gözaltı işlemi sırasında Türk pasaportu taşımalarına rağmen bu kişilerin İranlı olduklarından şüphelenildi. Özellikle pasaportların eski tarihli olmasına rağmen üzerlerindeki fotoğrafların yeni olduğu dikkat çekti. Sorgunun başlama aşamasında İran Büyükelçiliği’nin devreye girmesi üzerine durum netleşti. İranlı Büyükelçilik yetkilileri bu kişilerin İranlı olduğunu kabul etti. Pasaportların Sakine Göğremiş, Abdullah Işık, Mahmut Çiftçi, Saniye Gündüz, Ali Çobanlı ve Halit Özdemir adına düzenlendiği tespit edildi.

TÜRKLERE SEMPATİ DUYDUĞUMUZ İÇİN

Konu hakkında Türkiye Büyükelçiliği’ne bilgi verilmesi üzerine durum “acil” koduyla Dışişleri Bakanlığı’na aktarıldı. Türkiye, Libya’da yetkili makamlarla araştırma başlattı. İran ajanı olduğu iddia edilen şüphelilerin, Libya’daki bazı illegal örgütlenmelere katılarak sansasyonel eylem düzenleyecekleri ve Türkiye’yi bu eylemlerin faili olarak göstermeyi planladıkları ileri sürülüyor.

Gözaltındaki İranlılar ilk savunmalarında, Türklerin Libya’da serbestçe dolaşabilmesi ve Libya’da Türklere duyulan sempati nedeniyle fotoğrafları değiştirilmiş Türk pasaportu taşıdıklarını söyledi.

ABD’nin Libya Büyükelçisi öldürülmüştü

Libya’nın Bingazi kentindeki ABD elçilik binasına geçtiğimiz 12 Eylül’de düzenlenen roket saldırısında ABD’nin Libya Büyükelçisi Christopher Stevens ve 3 elçilik çalışanı hayatını kaybetmişti.
