What's new

Iranian Space program

well sarir and Sorosh are for Iran space agency with cooperation of defense ministry but Zuljanah is built by IRGC for both Iran space agency and IRGC it self and defense ministry is charged for receiving them, IRGC version of soroush is called (ghaem SLV, soiled fuel) , in the picture below you can see difference between Sarir vs Sorosh, Sorosh is much mach bigger then sarir

Zuljaneh is Simorgh but all soiled fuel.

4 diameter missile? Wow

@PeeD care to share your thoughts on what’s powering the various SLVs? Especially the like liquid ones?

I talked about all missiles here or in the missile thread.

My opinion is that Iran will keep using "mass-producible" Ghadr motors for those new liquids (first stages). They offer sufficient thrust for those tasks and are competitive in the age of of re-usable SLVs.

As Khorramshahr is produced in higher and higher numbers, Its even possible that Ghadr would be stripped off their motors for SLVs as the Khorramshahr replaces 3 Ghadrs.
So there would be a huge stock of Ghadr motors available in future --> no need for new built motors --> huge safe in costs.

What about the fuel? Would how much money we spend on the production and storage of a new fuel source be contingent on the degree of certainty our engineers have in stick with and building upon this new fuel? Or is the conversion far less complicated to matter?

Israel channel 2 TV on Iran Imam Khomeini space center and **SLV on launch pad Israeli TV shows ‘Iranian missile’ that ‘can reach far beyond Europe’

Satellite images taken outside Tehran feature first look at long-range missile newly developed by Iran, TV report says I ran has built a 27-meter-long missile, capable of delivering a warhead “far beyond Europe,” and placed it on a launch pad at a site close to Tehran, an Israeli television report said Wednesday, showing what it said were the first satellite images of the missile ever seen in the West. It stressed that the missile could be used to launch spacecraft or satellites, but also to carry warheads. The Channel 2 news report showed satellite imagery documenting what it said was Iran’s “very rapid progress” on long-range missile manufacture. It showed one photograph of a site near Tehran, which it said the West had known about for two years, where Iran was working on engines for its long-range missiles. It then showed a satellite photograph of a second site, nearby, which featured a launch pad, with the 27-meter missile on it — an Iranian missile “never seen before” by the West. The missile is capable of taking a manned spacecraft or satellite into space, the TV report said.

once again proves the info was correct,
first fight test was took place in 2008 by Martyr Saleki ( شهید سالکی) solid propellant designer and expert.
on those days every time the U.S said all option are on table nobody instablishent use to take serious

nice catch, really nice

excellent news: it seems Zoljanah launch will not be a research launch after all ;)

Head of the Iranian Space Agency (ISA) Morteza Barari announced earlier this month Iran's plan to orbit high-quality satellites in an altitude of 1,000km above the Earth.

"We will reach the 2,000-km orbit in two years and our next step is reaching the 36,000-km orbit," Barari said.

Nice post. Thanks

Amazing to see western analysts are still holding on to their outdated belief that Iran is still borrowing technology from other countries and thus can be stopped by controlling flow of technology ! Wake up guys, Iran now producing its own technology in its own created category of weapons.
Nah, I believe it is desirable state of mind these westerners are regarding where Iran stands technologically in comparison to them. There is nothing better when you catch their faces in shock and awe when the real shit happens. People who should be knowledgeable about Iran's military capabilities are perfectly aware to some extend where Iran stands, so in one way western media are doing favor to Iran.
