Iranian Space program

Rouhani is under pressure. Last time he was under pressure he test fired Simorgh last year.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there is/are launch(s) in Feb.

agreed. they said there would be two launches. let me post Iran's space road.

Does somebody know why Iranian aviation authorities, no new NOTAM's issue ?? (last one July 2018)
could be a indicator for a satellite launch
especially for the OID51 and OID90 area

The mobile launch gantry can accommodate SLVs much larger in size than the Simorogh.

Yet we have not yet heard any more news on the next gen SLV in a few years. I think it was called Qalnoos or something.

What do you expect?,rouhani left the space program to rot along with the nuclear program, now that hes under increasing pressure and has to look tough hes going to launch a rocket that was built during ahmadinejads presidency to launch satellites that were also built during the same presidency. The guy is nothing but a pathetic FRAUD,and this is an equally pathetic sham.:agree:

Iran has built a 27-meter-long missile, capable of delivering a warhead “far beyond Europe,” and placed it on a launch pad at a site close to Tehran, an Israeli television report said Wednesday, showing what it said were the first satellite images of the missile ever seen in the West.
It stressed that the missile could be used to launch spacecraft or satellites, but also to carry warheads.

The Channel 2 news report showed satellite imagery documenting what it said was Iran’s “very rapid progress” on long-range missile manufacture.

It showed one photograph of a site near Tehran, which it said the West had known about for two years, where Iran was working on engines for its long-range missiles.

It then showed a satellite photograph of a second site, nearby, which featured a launch pad, with the 27-meter missile on it — an Iranian missile “never seen before” by the West.

The missile is capable of taking a manned spacecraft or satellite into space, the TV report said

Do we know the purpose of the two sattelites?
High resolution imaging from USSA, ISSrael & SA would be useful..just in case...

Israeli propaganda trying to create hysteria on already announced SLV. The Simorgh is 27 meters and was announced prior to 2012. This article doesn’t even talk about Safir-3...the next gen Iranian SLV.

Next logical step for Iran is to build a more capable 2nd stage for Simorgh.

After that it could take this Simorgh-2 and have 2 or 4 Safir-1 launchers as attached boosters.
