be assured you can't do that ., there are specially built trucks that can do that , but they need special roads , the bridge must be reinforced and power line in the path must be temporarily cut down , the traffic had to be re routed . and they are slow as hell , a headache not anyone fond of . far easier to expand Bandar-Abbas Facility if you want the project go faster and that a lot more future proof.

which ship want to do that , the wait of the structure is enough to made it able to cut through the ship
How soon can the Bandar Abbas facility be expanded if they start now and work regular hours?

Also, why can't an improvised airlift with Mi-26 work? Each can lift 20 tonnes and 4-5 hauling one block with cables and hooks seems to be workable.

its not like because a mi-26 can lift 20 ton 4-5 can lift 80-100t , it probably will be 40-45t , it need precise calculation , it need a very complex mathematics , the pilots needs years of training to be in complete synchronization with each other , a single mistake can result in a disaster
about how fast bandar abbass facility can be expanded , is how much money you are willing to pour into the project.

Training for such a maneuver over 8-12 months will be sufficient to pull it off. How do you think the IRIAF improvised enough to bomb the H-3 iraqi airbase to smithereens?

in that the pilot trained as an individuals , it was not needed to them to act as one body . they just need to be highly trained in low flying , bombing and refueling and be disciplined enough to be able to do that in long flight.
in this case we have 5 helicopter each with two pilots that sum it up to 10 pilot and then they must be trained to act as if they are one pilot . that the hard part . if they didn't need to synchronize every move they make it was not that hard

In essence you would need them computer controlled as a swarm with limited AI allowing them to act as a hive and in unison. I have seen demos with small ones acting swarm like so it would not be impossible in the near future, but not with humans as pilots in individual craft.

A big towed barge can do it. I have doubt if the two big cranes of Bandar Abbas can lift that big block, but transportation can be made via towed barge. They are closed each other.

The real problem it is the time. No other blocks have been made or at least public revealed. Moreover if you see Talaiyeh docked, you can see it is directly paralized. No one equipment has been fit. No pieces, systems or cables are stationed at the pier, so work is stop. It is difficult to understand why IRIN doesn´t finish a nearly finished ship but in contrast they are advancing in a new, non experienced destroyer type warship.

In contrast you can see the three splendid Solemani class, that have been constructed, fitted and currently being tested in less time than Talaiyeh construction. It is really deceiving in a time that US Navy is chasing the iranian oilers far from iranian shores (they won´t try anymore inside Persian Gulf), that IRIN has been deprived of funds for finish those necessary high seas ships.

beyond the first block already known, observing the satellite images of free access, do you notice some aligned elements, which are other components of the destroyer?

good points....Not impressed with how the new Navy chief is working..He seems to be all talk..talk and same old promises " in the near future...crap.etc"....They moved the very capable naval industries head in to IEI..and since then..nothing is happening...

I go back to the satellite photos of the works in progress at Sahand 74, in addition to what is reported on page 352 and also in the Twitter attached therein, I seem to see that the superstructure that houses the CIWS Katran has been divided in two, now separated by a free area .
While on the superstructure towards the bow (perhaps also elongated towards the canisters) it seems that something has been positioned, it is that modification that has left a free part that could raise some hypotheses for its possible new use (perhaps 4 x VLS cells ???? )

Quad-packed VLS or dual-loaded?

Soleimani class is an aluminum hull ship , they build those in one block ,Talayeh and Loqman project are steel hull ship they are built in blocks

Likely a combination of a supply chain logistical issues (imagine the amount of companies involved building parts—likely in the hundreds) as well as funding.

China has a 10 to 1 cost build ratio according to the recent Pentagon disclosure. Assuming Iran has a 5 to 1 build ratio compared to USA, means that If Loghman cost 1B to build in USA it would cost 200M in Iran.

That’s a significant amount of money for a single ship during a period when Iran is under economic warfare.

This training destroyer might need 6-9 blocks at minimum (possible more). Unless Iran starts bulding blocks at a much quicker pace (1 every 3 months), this ship will take 5+ years to hit the water.

Solemani 225-500 tons

Loghman 6500-7000 tons.

Difference is night and day.

Exactly;

I observed that. IMHO there is a EO/IR system to guide Kamand. But in the bow of the ship you will see a hole just over the middle of the bridge. Maybe it is FCR for the Fajr-27. A dedicated FCR with EO/IR and laser range finder it will give even CIWS capabilities to Fajr-27. We will see in next months which equipments are receiving Sahand.

I can´t agree at this point. Jamaran, Sahand and Dena has virtually same hull dimensions, so logistical supply chain should be same for Talaiyeh, and for that reason, it should be much easier finishing Talaiyeh that starting a new supply chain or modify that for the Jamaran/Sahand/Dena.

Even you can extrapolate how many time will spend IRIN for Loghman considering big time needed for a fourth South Fleet of IRIN Moudge.

Only Fateh are a promissing new. Those submarines are a clear leap forward for IRIN and in western countries are considered the main challenge presented by IRIN (Ghadir/Fateh & Kilo).

Talaiyeh (ex-Shiraz) has been presented as an intelligence vessel. Thus on-board equipment may vary considerably from other Moj-class units. It's possible that procurement of these specialized intelligence gathering devices takes longer (and that they don't see a need to complete the rest of the ship earlier).

This is unrelated to your post, but regarding discussions about Loqman's armament, apparent lack of VLS in the model shown etc: Loqman's a training ship, not an attack craft. Not sure how essential heavy armament is to a training ship, and if VLS is really indispensable. The model we saw looks like a vastly enlarged Moj.

Probably first in a class of ships. I hope the subsequent designs are stealthy trimaran hulls with VLS x 32, at least.
