Iranian Jet Engine Design and Manufacturing Company is Established

Ignore it bro. The grinner from Bangladesh cant even dream the achievements of of Iran let aline India. So he will pass comments like this.

You knows the tough evaluation of Indian AirForce . The requirement of the Kaveri was 90KN .
But it could attain only 85KN.
But the project was a success in a technological perspective .

Huh.. It was the engine shuts down problem which forced Indian to abandon the engine project altogether, and they accepted the fact that engine is out of India's league. ;)

First go and build a 70cc mop engine then talk to us about Aero Engine

No dude.It doesnt AQSR of IAF due to less thrust .

Thrust problem ??? Just use after burner all the time... Problem solved. ;)

We started the work on jet engines about 20 years ago !!!

We are going to prove our industrial base :D

No problem if you underestimate Iran's capabilities now ... we are going to teach the hard way !!!

J-90 turbofan engine :

Saeghe-90 ... J-90 ... Fakkor-90 ... :D

Let me release something for the first time :

Iran working on a new jet engine for the new generation Saeghe (90) ... base on RD-33 !

but Iranian engine is a bit smaller ...

New saeghe will be the first Iranian capable fighter jet with a modern cockpit / weapons / ... etc ...

In fact something between F-5 & F-18 !
Ok, that answers my question why Saeghe is 15% larger than F-5.

. . .

The JT8D engine is a civilian version of J52 engine. It is 60 year old technology so it is possible for Iran to copy it, if Iran works hard on it.

Is that good enough for a passenger jet?

Oh, yeah. If you are referring to LEAP, of course that is top of the line. But even CFM-56 is still in use and both military and civilian customers are happy with it (though it is an expensive engine). It is a wonderful multipurpose engine core powering passenger jetliners as well as fighters and bombers.

It was a very ambitious project. A Jet engine is not only about thrust. It is required to be durable, cost effective, fuel efficient and light. This requires very advanced technological base in metallurgy, materials science, years of experience. A jet engine project is as big as the development of a fighter.
The Kaveri failed in most of the above parameters. But it was a huge learning process and the project established the necessary research institutes in the fields of metallurgical research, electronics etc. which is still developing and patenting new technologies for use in later projects. The technological leap that was required for such a project was achieved.

Actually I've seen a project aimed to modernize cockpit of a special type of air craft in air force ... and it was in its final stages ...
