i heard the baloch border is notorious for cross border smuggling...

If you 'heard' about the Balouch border being famous for smuggling, then that is either way around. Smuggling happens from the Iranian side into Pakistan more than from Pakistani side to Iran. As for a much more famous border, we have the Afghan border which has been the basic supplier of weapons, drugs, illegal/banned items and duplicates.

I do not want to intervene and seem like I am only looking for an opportunity to bash Iran or anything but isn't the procedure is to first surround them and call them to identify themselves?? Isn't the rule "Everyone is innocent until proven guilty" not the other way around?

For all we know they probably shot them found them without drugs and then planted them to make themselves look justified even then it is not okay because you DO NOT shoot on sight. It is clear the order they got is "Shoot on sight".

Be it this particular incident, the Indian BSF firing on Bangladeshis, the US firing on the Salalah checkpost, the thing is that the truth may never come out or worse, even if it does, people mistake it for propaganda by one side against another.

i do not blame Iranian guards neither I do blame the pakistanis.. the situation is like that no one wants to take chances..

Iranian guards are also working under immense pressure .. any mistake and they would be dead... Pakistani could have been thinking that it's a small crime and there will be some kind of punishment and it's worth to take the risk..

2.Iranian border guards shoot WHEN THEY ARE IN DANGER. first policy of armed forces
3.Drug smugglers have plagued our society, we need to clamp down on them really hard
4.Its becoming clear that the people who are getting killed in these ''incidents'' are clearly drug smugglers, the Iranian guards clearly had orders from higher authorities to hunt any drug smuggler who refuse to disarm,surrender.

I dnt see any innocent lives lost here. so good job from our border forces. meanwhile Pakistan should send re inforcement to the border with Iran to control these drug smugglers. We would welcome Pakistans effort to shoot any drug smuggler (even if they are Iranians) that crosses into pakistani soil, and we will do the same. We need to keep our countries clean from dirt and trash
