Iran unveils hypersonic weapon 'Fattah'

Wait, wait wait...why is it game over for them? They have the upper hand when it comes to that. And like @LeGenD explained in detail, they have way more chances to survive a nuclear war, unlike Iran. And they have more nukes.

Once you open the nuclear genie, it's not going back into the shell. If Israel resorted to nukes, it will get nuked back. How many nukes do you think they can take? Claiming they have a higher chance to survival a nuclear conflict is quite foolish to say the least. They're far too small.

It's not completely off-topic. The purpose of the Fatteh missile is just this.

The topic is Fattah hypersonic missiles and you're talking about nuclear conflict with Israel, need more clarification?

No,no I'm not talking about Israel using the nukes. I'm talking about an Iranian attack on Israel, that would devastate it. That would cause the reaction of the Western world and others.

From my perspective, if Israel initiated an attack against Iran then it will bear the consequences, heavily. Iran has already made it clear that any attack on its soil with be met with such a response. Minus the usual, most of the world will support Iran's right to defend itself. You can't strike another nation and then cry about how hard they're pounding you in response. But like I explain to you previously, this discussion will only ever remain in the hypothetical universe because Israel is not suicidal enough to initiate such a conflict.

He was talking about Fattah missile being used in a conflict, however it has gone off topic now. Feel free to tag in a separate thread and I'll be happy to discuss this further.

Iran has nuclear weapons?

Iran has nuclear weapons?

I personally believe they do. I would be extremely surprised if they do not already have a few nuclear warheads. They have for decades considered all sorts of scenarios, one including where Iran's enemies have used nuclear weapons against it. I do not see how the shrewd Iranian leadership would actually swear off such weapons despite the claims one hears otherwise. Small hints creep out every now and then, such as when the then intelligence minister said:

Iran's spy chief says Tehran could seek nuclear arms if 'cornered' by West

Iran's open posture is one of nuclear latency and so called fatwa against nuclear weapons. I think those statement are nothing but for political reasons as Iran declaring itself openly a nuclear power will not be in its interest at this moment in time, for many reasons.

Man,sometimes Persians here are more deluded than Turks.

What makes you think that you have what it takes to fight the world? Even Russians can turn against you if they feel you got way too strong.
We are in war with your world (western countries ) for 45 years.

Even Russians and Chinese didn't help us

Yeah but if that happens,it's the end for Iran. It will be heavily bombed,if not nuked,by most of the developed countries in the world. Iran will be considered a threat to the world.

Imagine Iran attack Israel, what country would die for Israel???? your Greece? LMAO do you think of any one?. US has throw Israel against the bus already. Iran hypersonic missiles are so much for the US to dream to intervene.

Israel just has a choice, the choice is an unconditional agreement with palestinians auspicious not by the US, auspicous by the intervention of Iran. Iran is the king of the region, that s it, this missiles are business it means they cannot be stopabble is all a decision maker an active actor needs to change all equations.

Any one who thinks can nuke Iran and go to sleep, is stupid to the core.

This is why i hpe Iran show some real of their power, stupid people must realize what Iran has for any suicidal country.

My world? I'm Greek. I'm not some Western European or American. We're between West and East.

It's not about protecting Israel, but protecting themselves,if they see what Iran can do to Israel. They will think "Iran is a rogue nation. Who's next? We have to deal with them". That's what they'll think.

What do you don t understand??? Israel uses nukes and so what happens then???? You maybe can guess if you left your emotions aside and be real, you nuke Iran and you ll see what happens to any country.

It is not possible to conceal this development from foreign intelligence communities and watch dogs. Iran's spy chief has simply pointed out that Iran is seeking nuclear weapons.

Iranian nuclear program-related developments are well-documented in following sources:

Iranian uranium enrichment stands at 83.7% in the present:

Iran needs to enrich uranium to 90% to make it weapons-grade, and this will be the FIRST step towards developing a nuclear bomb. Iran then needs to do following:

"In order to sustain the type of chain reaction necessary for a bomb explosion, the atoms need to be held in a modified state known as “supercritical mass” so that more than one of the free neutrons from each split hits another atom and causes it to split. A supercritical mass is formed in a uranium bomb by initially storing the fuel as separate subcritical masses to prevent the bomb from detonating too early, and then joining the two masses together. The bomb also needs to be designed to allow enough of the chain reaction to take place before the initial energy from the explosion causes the bomb to fail."

- this will be the SECOND step towards developing a nuclear bomb.

Iran then needs to miniaturize the "supercritical mass" process to create nuclear warheads that can be mounted on ballistic missiles. This step is necessary for Iran to become a capable nuclear power.

You are assuming if Iran attacks Israel , Israel would bomb with nuclear weapons Iran, that s right or not?

This is what you were talking, i say you hypotesis is vague and unfounded, Iran is more resuleteless than Israel, they will catch the message in a matter of second if iran uncovers some part of their reality.Jus the tip.

How many times do I have to say it? It's about Iran attacking and destroying most of Israel's military bases and civilian infastracture. I said if Iran does that, then most of the Western Europeans and many other countries in the world,USA,Canada,Australia and whoever else, would consider Iran as the biggest threat and annihilate it.

They would do anything to stop the "rogue mullah regime with strong ballistic missiles that can now hit everywhere". Imagine the headlines "A new Jewish Holocaust, left defensless on the mercy of Iran" etc etc

How would the Americans react to that? And most of the other Western Europeans and other countries around the world. They would think "We can let them progress any more. They're already a threat".

Zionist Analysts: No Systems Able to Hit Fattah

TEL AVIV (Dispatches) --
Media analysts and commentators in Occupied Palestine have been discussing Iran’s new hypersonic missile that was unveiled on Tuesday by chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, Major General Hussein Salami. It is said that the Fattah missile gives Iran a “significant” military edge in the region.
According to Nir Dvori, a military commentator on Israel’s Channel 12, the missile will be “difficult to detect, observe and intercept.”
The channel’s Arab affairs commentator, Ohad Hamo, said that Iran’s missile is another step towards “deterring” the Zionist regime from launching any sort of military strike against the Islamic Republic. He also pointed out that the Fattah missile will be difficult to intercept because of its speed — Mach 13 — and maneuverability.
“No missile defense system will be able to hit it.”
The U.S. does not possess hypersonic missiles, he added, only China and Russia do.
“Iran’s unveiling of the Fattah hypersonic missile is a message to Israel,” noted Maariv newspaper.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi told those present at the missile’s unveiling ceremony on Tuesday: “We know these achievements anger our enemies, but we say to them, die in your anger, because these achievements make the Iranian people happy. What the IRGC’s Air Force is accomplishing is scientific and local work far from foreign pressure.”
Raisi insisted that Iran’s deterrence force is purely defensive, never offensive.
“It is a point of strength that contributes to establishing security in the region. This missile means that the region will be safe from evildoers and foreign aggression. The message to those who are thinking of attacking Iran is that the Islamic Republic is a powerful country and its power aims to support the people of Iran and the oppressed people of the world.”
Hypersonic missiles are projectiles that can move at a speed of at least Mach 5, or five times the speed of sound. That is 1.7km (1.05 miles) per second or 6,174km (3,836 miles) per hour.
Some ballistic missiles already reach these speeds, but this new class of weapon separates itself from the pack as it can take a more random path to its intended target after plunging back into the earth’s atmosphere.
This makes it far more difficult to be detected by radar systems and to be destroyed by defense shields.
More countries are pursuing hypersonic weaponry in hopes they will provide them with a military

edge, but the challenges remain formidable.
For one, friction from the upper atmosphere produces extremely high temperatures, while the intense speed of the missile produces superheated particles surrounding it that make it harder for radio communications to get through.
So far, Russia and China have displayed an array of hypersonic weapons, with Moscow being the only one thought to have tested them in combat. The United States has also tested hypersonic missiles but lags behind its two rivals.
Several months after the IRGC first announced in November that it had a hypersonic missile, the Fattah was displayed on Tuesday.
Iran says the projectile has a range of 1,400km (870 miles) and can move at a massive speed of up to Mach 15 (5.1 km or 3.2 miles per second) before hitting its target.
It is also said to feature a moveable secondary nozzle and employ solid propellants that allow for high maneuverability within and outside the atmosphere, which top IRGC commanders have said means no missile defense system in the world is a match for it.
Iranian authorities have also praised a “generational leap” in missile technology on the back of the Fattah, which they have said will give Iran new levels of deterrence.
They have dismissed Western skepticism of Iran’s development of hypersonic missiles, saying the truth will be revealed “on the day” such arms may be used, and that the U.S. is only skeptical as the technology undermines its efforts to sell arms to the region.
Fattah’s current range is just short of the distance between Tehran and Tel Aviv, but IRGC aerospace chief commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh suggested on Tuesday that the force could look to hypersonics with a range of 2,000km (1,242 miles) in the near future.
At the claimed speeds, Fattah could theoretically reach Israeli targets in under seven minutes. That will leave little room for detection and interception, even for the Zionist regime’s Iron Dome missile defense system.
When covering news of the missile’s unveiling, Israeli media widely focused on a previous threat by Iranian media that an Iranian hypersonic projectile could reach Occupied Palestine in 400 seconds.
The U.S. introduced a new round of sanctions on Tehran after the unveiling, including sanctions around its ballistic missile program.

It is not possible to conceal this development from foreign intelligence communities and watch dogs. Iran's spy chief has simply pointed out that Iran is seeking nuclear weapons.

It is possible, but difficult. Remember the IAEA only has access to whatever facilities Iran has declared to be nuclear and allows them to inspect. Currently due to the JCPOA situation, IAEA's eyes are blind in Iran. They only found out about the Fordow facility because someone leaked it. If Iran does indeed have nuclear weapons, it's safe to say only a few people inside Iran know about it.

Of course I have no (not surprising) tangible evidence Iran has physical nuclear weapons, but to me all the pieces fall together nicely.

We Assess…Iran Probably Already Has Nuclear Weapons

More recently, David Albright, former nuclear inspector for the UN International Atomic Energy Agency, and Ollie Heinonen, former Deputy Director General of IAEA, published an Institute for Science and International Security report based on Iran’s secret nuclear weapon archives clandestinely obtained by Israel’s Mossad:

“The archive shows that the AMAD program intended to build five nuclear warhead systems for missile delivery and possible use in preparation for an underground nuclear test; an actual test would require a decision to proceed. The program was also partially designed to have its own independent uranium mining, conversion, and enrichment resources. The documentation indicates that Iran’s nuclear weaponization efforts did not stop after 2003…”

“The United States incorrectly assessed with high confidence in a 2007 declassified National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) that ‘in fall 2003, Tehran halted its nuclear weapons program.’ Based on the information in the archives, Iran’s nuclear weapons program continued after 2003…Moreover, the 2007 NIE also incorrectly asserted that Iran had not re-started its nuclear weapons program as of mid-2007…However, there is no evidence that the program was ever fully halted, even up to today.”

“The information in the archive evaluated so far does not answer the question of what the current status of Iran’s nuclear weapons program is…”

Iranian nuclear program-related developments are well-documented in following sources:

New information is constantly being released, the so called AMAD project was the most recent one. The western intelligence on Iranian nuclear activities is certainly not water tight. In theory, a group like IRGC could have had a Fordow like small facility with enrichment capability.

Iranian uranium enrichment stands at 83.7% in the present:

Officially Iran's enrichment stands at 60%, which is a hair width away from 90% (weapons grade) relatively speaking. Enrhiching from 3.5% o 20% is far more difficult than from 20% or 60% to 90%. It becomes faster and faster to enrich to the next level as your base level of enriched uranium hexafluoride gas into the centrifuges is increased.

"Why does the 20% uranium enrichment line matter?

The simple answer is that enriching uranium to 20% represents about 90% of the effort needed to produce weapons grade fissile material. Once a proliferator reaches this threshold, it could be ready to weaponize in a relatively short time. "

The 83% could be either a simple anomaly or Iran testing the waters by checking reactions to that level of enrichment.

- this will be the SECOND step towards developing a nuclear bomb.

Iran then needs to miniaturize the "supercritical mass" process to create nuclear warheads that can be mounted on ballistic missiles. This step is necessary for Iran to become a capable nuclear power.

All work on that was already done as early as 2003 in the so called project AMAD. Check this:
