I have to say seeing the U.S. behave this way is very sad...it's very USSR of them to blockade a country, to sabotage their oil industry and their electricity grid, to suffocate them so they become a failed state, which in turn would lead a bloody uprising that could mean tens of thousands of deaths.......is this the same country that made the world safe for democracy? The same that helped defeat the Nazis and Fascistic?

If we look at civilisations throughout history, we can see the same pattern again and again. There is a raise and then there is the fall. Achieving success is one thing, but to maintain it throughout time is a much harder task. From what I can see, the Americans have entered the fall. Once countries reach that state, they become more dangerous.

Iran is a very interesting case, historically. It is one of the few nations throughout history that has attained great power status again and again. Modern Iran is on its way up. Despite Iran's difficult situation, it still openly mocks the likes of US. I suppose there is little out there that is more powerful than the pride of Iranians.

Be honest Venezuela has not been doing great regarding their economy too ... socialist program of Chavez played a role in this drama too ... I mean it ain't fair to blame america for everything meanwhile blocking fuel and food is not acceptable ..
