INS Vikrant, India's First Indigenous Aircraft Carrier, To Be Handed Over To Indian Navy In May

INS Vikramaditya took part in Malabar exercise with USS Nimitz in 2020. I don't know if they do live fire or not. But whats the point here?

Because it is difficult for me to understand whether an aircraft carrier that has not even conducted a live-fire exercise can be considered to have completed combat preparations. After all, the Liaoning, which was called by the Western media as a training ship until 2018, led the entire aircraft carrier group toconducted live-fire exercises and launched a large number of missiles in 2015。

Well, Indian navy does not need to announce its live fire drills. It may do it and not tell anyone about it because its not a major event to announce. I mean even past carriers of India which participated in actual combat did not announce its live fire drills too.

China does it for many reasons. One being a political point : to warn those with which it has sea territorial disputes. India does not have that big of disputes in sea nor it has neighbors with that big of navy. China has Japan and US navy to bother about and Taiwan to warn. This does not apply to India so it does not announce its naval drill and only major exercises. These exercises involves co-operation between IAF and IN or co-operation between friendly navies like that of QUAD. India does announce live fire exercises A LOT for Indian Army. Incidentally they are held in Pokhran, a village near to Pakistan border... Its obvious why it does it, right? Same reasons as China.

Considering the boastful nature of Indian arm forces, it's highly doubtful that IN would not make a big fuss about any live fire drills of its one and only aircraft carrier if it had any. I mean India would even proudly annouces and celebrates every single successful test of BraMos missle, a 40-year old USSR heritage.

You don't hear about it, simply because it has nothing to write home about.

"On Nov. 26, an Indian MiG-29K crashed in the Arabian Sea after taking off from the country’s flagship, the aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya. While the co-pilot managed to eject and survive the crash, the pilot was killed and his body wasn’t found until over a week later.

Previous crashes occurred on Feb. 23, 2020, and Nov. 16, 2019.

The first loss of an Indian MiG-29K occurred in Jan. 3, 2018, when one of those jets veered off a runway and caught fire. In all these accidents all the pilots managed to eject on time and survived."

It is not easy to build an aircraft carrier by oneself, although it takes a long time.

INS Vikrant,Construction started in 2006,The first keel was laid in 2009,It was launched three times in 2011, 2013 and 2015, and began sea trials in 2020. It is expected to enter service in 2022.16years

China 002 Aircraft Carrier,Construction began in 2013.It was built in the shipyard in 2015, tested at sea in 2017, and commissioned in 2019.4 years of construction, 2 years of sea trials, total cost 6 years

This true for Chinese fighter aircrafts as well. However, the end result is fighter aircrafts like J10, J20, J15 (Carrier), J11 etc. Waste of money.

On topic, lets face it, China for all its boastfulness could not field a single aircraft carrier in its fleets till 2018. So much for high IQ, massive economy, all worthless.

Well, for crashes to happen, you need to actually fly the plane from the damned carrier. Something Chinese are deathly afraid of. For good reasons too. Its made in China after all.

China has a carrier with a battle group of 8 warships in the Western Pacific right now.

India has no carrier operating anywhere and has not operated its sole "operational" carrier in more than a year with the thing being stationary at Karwar month after month after month.

There is no comparison. China actually operates carriers. India just boasts about operating a carrier and lies about this even when people could plainly see that the Indian carrier is parked at one spot for over a year.

The launches and recoveries in this one trip will probably be more than the Vikramaditya did in its life time.

Are you an idiot?
Not his fault, merely parroting the script provided by his supervisor.

BraMos missle, a 40-year old USSR heritage.
Brahmos is not a USSR heritage, its a copy of advanced Chinese missile CX-1

Russia and India copied CX-1 and now claim as their own

China did not have any carrier in its naval fleets till 2018. Suck on that Panda.

Actually, China is learning to operate Carriers. It has not enough experience in operating carriers given it has only put a carrier in combat duties in 2018.

Source : Trust me bro.

In 2019 and 2020, Indian carrier INS Vikramaditya did an exercise with USS Nimitz and quad members. How many exercises with friendly carriers forces did Laioling do? How many nations were there?

Infact, INS Vikramaditya and her battle group did exercise with USS Nimitz and her battle group. Tell me when was the last time Laioling did any exercise with a foreign navy?

India doesn't have a carrier that sails now and hadn't one that sailed since 2020.

Meanwhile, the Liaoning is sailing in the Western Pacific, right now.

The Japanese are taking pictures of J-15s launching and landing on Liaoning right now.

This is not happening with an Indian carrier today:

Why all the silly boasting, Indians? You don't even have a functional carrier right now. How can you even argue? lol

What happened between 1949 and 2018?

The only silly boasting is done by you! When was the last time your carrier did any kind of real practice by exercising with a real carrier operator and not scaring some poor fishermen. So much for Chinese capabilities.

And this did not happen with Chinese from 1949 till 2018. LOL! What a bunch of losers!
