I find it ironic that OP is proud that a province that once belong to Mongolia and a ethnic minority that invaded and control much of its dynasty has a higher gdp (nominal or ppp) then all of China province . :coffee:

Wikipedia is not a credible source anyone can change the information.
i think the most incredible thing is your comments from morning to night.

Due to our large population, we will need to work harder and smarter than anyone else on this planet to hit GDP per capita of $11k USD/year.

But knowing us, no adversity can stop us.

I think you are ironic. First, the Mongol and inner Mongol both belong to China before 1945,inner Mongol never belong to the outer Mongol. Second, inner Mongol is part of China more than 400 years, they are chinese, why cannot we proud of them ? you are just a stupid foreigner and know nothing about today Mongol chinese, they are a very loyal minority, sorry to disappoint you.

Ordos? Isn't that the famous ghost city featured on virtually every media outlet?

The IMF projects China's nominal per-capita GDP will hit $11,070 by 2019. It's only four more years.

I'm never a fan of prediction. IMF is somewhat wonky. they are predicting india to grow by 7.5% this year.

I'm thinking, how? Even if you include Indian vedic math in the equation, I still wonder, how? China's GDP % is at least quantifiable and we have the manufacturing capacity to boost export

I think the IMF is predicting 7.5% Indian growth in Rupees.

The Rupee is still depreciating due to the twin deficits (e.g. Indian federal deficit and the persistent trade deficit).

China will easily outgun India in nominal GDP growth (which is based on U.S. dollars).

Coal mining in Inner Mongolia is in open-pit. It's easy.
State-owned companies have been taking 1 billion ton of coals per year from that area, so you guys can't deny that the mining adds big GDP to Inner Mongolia, while give less benefit to the people.
I don't mean Inner Mongolia is poor, but I try to explain why "that high GDP per capita"

Are you mistaken Inner Mongolia with Mongolia? Never did I know Inner Mongolia export so much coal?

round up from 980 million ton,

same OP
China's mineral reserves of Coal resources exceed 1.5 trillion tons& the coal production

Inner Mongolia autonomous region, China’s leading coal production base, produced a total 908.08 million tonnes of coal last year, down 11.9% from the year before, the Inner Mongolia Administration of Coal Mine Safety said on its website on January 7.

Coal production in the region has been on the decrease over the past two years, after hitting a record high of 1.08 billion tonnes in 2012, mainly due to slackening demand from end users amid a slowdown in the Chinese economy.

The autonomous region produced 994.38 million tonnes of coal in 2013, a drop of 6.4% from 2012.

During the past year, oversupply and sagging demand dragged coal prices to multi-year lows, forcing many small and medium-sized miners in the region to cut or even suspend production to avoid further losses.

Key state-owned mines -- owned by the central and provincial governments -- produced 816.85 million tonnes of coal in 2014, increasing 11.0% year on year.

Local state-owned mines – owned by governments at the prefecture and county levels – produced 33.72 million tonnes of coal during the same period, plunging 52.8% year on year.
