Well we didnt see this much of enthusiasm from you when that pacifist Manmohan Singh was in rule.He offered full fludged peace talks .Where are you at that time ?
All we Indians could see at that time was the exploitation of soft corner of Singh by Pakistan.

nope Singh was never going to have a spine to have a deal. Infact congress in india is anyways seen as "muslims" party this is what BJP feeds on. Congress can never broker a deal even if they wish to they have to act like they have a hard stance towards Pakistan or BJP will lead a massive propaganda against them.

the only one who can is BJP. BJP can get a deal and get away with it. However, the pretentious attitude in the current BJP due to being deprived of being in power for more than a decade currently runs high.

Read the OP carefully.
During 1990s Hurriyat was a major player.But now things are changed.They are just a shadow.
This is what some Indian members explained in PDF.
Present GoI policy is just implementing just 'take it ' or ' leave it' .For them relation with Pakistan is not a priority.
You dont have any influence in this nation like trade and commerce field.
You dont have anything to offer us .Why should we care about your nation?

If Hurriyat is a mre shadow, then why afraid of Pakistan meeting them?

The "take it or leave it" stand only works if Pakistan was desperate for talks. Recent events showed that is not the case at all.
It was Pakistan that said: "Either we talk about Kashmir alongwith other issues or we don't talk at all".

Sushma Swaraj already told in the press conference that these weren't India Pak composite dialogue which usually includes all outstanding issues these were talks to discuss these specific issues.

Both leaders condemned terrorism in all its forms and agreed to cooperate with each other to eliminate this menace from South Asia.

1. A meeting in New Delhi between the two NSAs to discuss all issues connected to terrorism.


2. Early meetings of DG BSF and DG Pakistan Rangers followed by that of DGMOs.


3. Decision for release of fishermen in each other’s custody, along with their boats, within a period of 15 days.


4. Mechanism for facilitating religious tourism.


5. Both sides agreed to discuss ways and means to expedite the Mumbai case trial, including additional information like providing voice samples.
