INDIA'S LARGEST WARSHIP DOESN'T HAVE KEY DEFENCE WEAPONS

. .
wow!!!! Your are really a genius..... even zaid hamid will be second to you in this kind of logic!!!:lol::lol:

there are something you must learn..

1) INS Vkiramadithya is not anchored off in pakistani water so that your so called junk JF-17 can came and have a look at the ship

2) there are fighter aircraft supported by AEW choppers and escorting destroyer, frigates, anti-sub corvets and submarines for offence. these ships are packed with enough missiles to devastate your entire southern coastline.

3)the ship itself have one of the most powerful jammer in the world which will even blind your AEWACS.

4) INS vikramaditya have a powerful radar which will detect your JF-17 from 400km away, even before your fighter jet detect the ship.

PS: keep your dreams are dreams no need to say those in here.
In peace time you can forget the aircover and your 400km range is useless if thunders fly in low. We can always get the location of your carriers from our chinese brothers. once launched, the missile is self seeking, all you have to enter into it is the picture of the aircraft carrier and its visual sensor will match the ship and hit it head on. The only way you can jam a visual spectrum missile is if you cloak your entire junk carrier. lol

I can imagine your carrier going up in flames even now, it is well within reach, and the only thing stopping it now is our incompetant leadership.

Wow, what a post!

Equal parts nonsense and hyperbole.

These dumb bhanyias aye, spending billions on aircraft carriers that can easily be sunk by a million dollar missile.

. .
All this and our military planners are morons to utilise this stupidity of the enemy. Such a huge juicy target in the middle of the ocean. And a surprise attack during peacetime will catch any navy off guard as any aircraft can fly over the carrier since open seas are not subjected to any overfly rules. The thunder doesnt even have to overfly as the carrier killer's range is 300kms!! Our pilots could easily sink the carrier with Thunder and laugh our asses off when India sends dossiers after dossiers after losing their carrier. :D If they start making more noise all we have to do is utter the word nuclear and the cowards will go all quiet again. I hope pakistan produces a true leader in the coming months who takes this patriotic step.

Argue against it, why silence a sound strategy??
You are moron, are you having brain fart !!!!! Stick to topic do not derail the forum. Any one who does not know ABC of navy planning and strategy, this is the forum for illiterate like you read and learn how defense planning and strategy works for different branches, here for Navy. Do not use this forum for your 2 min fame otherwise in your depressed and hated life grow up.

If america or any other western country or russia didnt have an aircraft carrier then india wouldnt have bought it either. The only reason india has an aircraft carrier is because the others have it. the general perception is, the others are doing it, so it must be right. india is too stupid to think for itself and likes to copy cat others. now what is different between it and above mentioned countries is, if anyone dares to sink its carriers, whether the opposing country is nuclear armed or not, that country is dead. they will take risks of nuclear war to bring that country to its knees. a perfect example is cuban missile crisis. america was prepared for a nuclear war just because soviets were stocking missiles in a sovereign country called cuba. can india ever imagine to do such a thing? india has no clue about nuclear war and how to tackle it. the moment it hears nuclear war it does limp and our brilliant planners have taken this into account by attacking india through numerous of our mujahids(parliment attack and many other operations) and also a full blown kargil war. in all this, there was never a single bomb which fell into pakistan proper from indians air strikes or ships or missiles. paksiatns nuclear weapon is our ultimate shield. the moment we sink your aircraft carrier your entire politicians and media will be debating whether losing one ship is worth losing all your cities in a nuclear war, and so there will never be a retaliation. pakistan has all its chess pieces in its place, the only think needed is the go ahead with from a worthy leader. only that is missing. you idiots wont even know what hit it and will be licking your wounds of impotentcy.

Well I planned no to waste my time in arguing that totally nonsensical copy cat argument... (Just check the key role of ACC during past naval engagement of the IN)

However, the highlighted part is something different:

Mark my words, as a long as this sick mentality of distinguishing between good and bad terrorists does not change, there will never be an end to terrorist attacks like the one in Peshawar...

lol no knowledge at all. Go and read about what prompted your carrier into east pakistan in the first place. in 1971 your navy was so afraid of losing your carrier to air strikes that they tasked your carrier into east pakistan and not west pakistan. that too only after the news of the single squadron of sabres in dhaka got grounded that they decided to move the carriers from its blockade role to attack role. even their it is total crap because the sea hawks it was carrying has less payload than the mig-21. if the carrier wouldnt have done it, then mig-21s would have easily accomplished. in retrospect, your carrier was close to useless and a liability.

the peshawar attack is the result of the failed policy of musharaff of aligning with the united states. its only a matter of time till ttp will be directed against india. the west is almost out of afghanistan. wait for a while, real hell will break loose in your exuse of a country.

INS Vikrant was stationed at the Andaman and Nicobar islands (on the eastern coast south of BD) on the day war was declared on Pakistan! And the highest priority for the IN was the naval blockade of East Pakistan. So naturally it was deployed on the eastern coast.

Surely the IN aircraft of 1971 were inferior to the land based fighters, but they did their job.

And today, the Mig 29 K is among the very top among fighter aircraft in the entire region and does not have to be afraid from any adversary.

Yeah keep sticking your head into the sand... and keep threatening us with terrorism (how low can you sink anyways that one does that? )

You are not gonna divert anything. And as long as you dont wake up and face the reality, innocent people will keep dying due to this (already failed) policy.

PS: We have been hearing that terrorists will break up India for decades now
C`mon, it gets boring ....

look moron, the radars in INS vikramaditya is designed to detect and track the low flying objects from a long distance. a fighter flying low cannot fly more that sonic speed. so the reaction time of IN is enough to prepare for the air defense to be placed as in the case of peacetime.. china don't have the capability to search every part of indian ocean. even if they find that AC they cannot do anything.. History had proved that china never came to help pakistan in case of war with india. missile need radar or any other type of communication to pinpoint the target over the horizon. with a jamming range of 400km INS vikramaditya can jam any incoming aircraft or a missile. the missile you are so proudly talking about is cm-400akg, is guided by GPS, inboard radar and image recognition system.. the IRS is the only system which can works in jamming environment. and IRS is only usefull when the missile is too close to the target. the missile can't even came too close to the target when layers upon layers of air defense is in place. you must lean about missile guidance before arguing with me.

the Mig 29k and the kamove choppers are constantly in airborne for the defense of the ship, no matter it is peace time or war time. your J-f 17 toy is not even capable of engaging mig 29k. even those fighters can jam the low power radar of jf 17. it is impossible for pakistan air forcr+navy to even came closer to challenge the carrier battle group.

INS Vikramaditya will be sailing with a battle group. The article does state that anti missile systems will be fitted. Nothing to discuss to be honest.

Close this thread please. It is beyond its due date.

Just to put things in perspective, this is Pakistan's surface fleet:
Four 2500 ton Type-53 frigates bought from China recently, and almost obsolete even at the time of acquisition
Five 40-45 year old Type-21 frigates (which are classified by the Pakistani navy as "destroyers" to make themselves feel good)
One 40-year old FFG-8 frigate

Forget about the other carriers, destroyers, escort ships and the Vikramaditya battle group. Just INS Vikramaditya has more offensive power and 50% more tonnage than all the PN surface ships combined.

The required weapons will be fitted soon enough. And even if war breaks out, half of the rust buckets in the PN would have sunk on their own long before they can even get close enough to engage.

.
I think a bigger problem is, how well-maintained will this ship be? Will it be at the same level of operational-readiness as other Indian surface ships?

And how many MiG-29K are going to crash per year?
