Now the irony is that India's own economy that is being downgraded, as well as being termed the "most disappointing of the BRICs" by Jim O'Neil who invented the BRICs concept in the first place. As well as collapsing growth, massive debts, huge current account and budget deficits, the list goes on and on.

Even Indian Americans like Fareed Zakira say that the "I" in BRICs should be replaced with Indonesia instead.
