Indian LCA Tejas Or Pakistani JF-17: Who Is Winning The Malaysian Fighter Jet Contract?

If Israeli avionics become an issue for Malaysia...and India offers its own equivalents(including the radar)...
...that basically would mean a re-evaluation of the jet by Malaysia...not to mention some additional time for development and testing(from the Indian side). Clearly if the Indian equivalents of those avionics were ready to go...India wouldn't have acquired it from foreign sources...which means they are not ready at the moment.

So if Israeli avionics are a problem for Malaysia...then Tejas is as good as dead for export to Malaysia...unless they are willing to wait and re-evaluate.
They haven’t started evaluation, they are coming in A few weeks, also one prototype already flies with Uttam and Indian avionics for testing into MK1A.

Well T/W Ratio depends on how much payload and fuel you carry there’s no particular T/W Ratio of an aircraft.
yes its is transitional term but we have fixed T/W terms for fighter jets also when jet is on the tarmac ready to fly

you Uttam is based on ELTA-ELM 2052, and what Indian avionics you have in MK-1A please come up with source

Compared to JF-17, Tejas has a combat edge with its more potent engine, radar system, and electronic warfare suite, and not to forget the Beyond Visual Range (BVR) missile capability according to IAF experts talking to the EurAsian Times.

and yet with all these superior capabilities it was absent during Swift Resort... go figure

What do you illiterate m@fos can create on your own apart from the paint job?
Do you think a chinese piece of shit assembled and painted in a shit hole nation is a big deal? Go learn and collect the facts about India's advancements over the 70 years since independence and how pussystan watching those awfully and helplessly.
Feel shame about yourself being a native of pussystan which has no technological base or nothing self sustainable to progress as a nation but to beg before almost all nations across the world.
If Tejas took so long to develop , it's still almost 52% indigenous and conceived and developed in India.
You m@fos can only brag about the hardware in your possession which is made elsewhere. Have some shame dickmouth gaylord.

Post reported.

I've never seen any airforce buy a foreign jet that "will go into production" based on testing the prototype. Usually airforces around the world make "safe" purchases...as in a fighter jet that is in production and flying, possibly battle proven. It is that fighter jet they test/evaluate before purchase.
If India manages such an export...I would commend India's shrewd marketing...and that would be a shame for Malaysia to take such a risk.

Dude MK1A is just an Avionics upgrade over an existing Tejas MK1.

I don’t know about that but it uses Indian made T/R Modules. MK1A uses Uttam radar, D-29 E/W Suite which we use on MiG-29UPG as well. Indian made RWR, LWR etc.
look dude Tejas is few feet smaller than JFT so it is quite confirm that you Uttam will have a lower T/R than JFT's KLJ-7A bigger nose means more internal space for bigger AESA

Mk1A is supposed to be a substantial upgrade to Mk1...
...just like how JF17 Block III is a substantial upgrade to Block II. All of these new avionics require integration and testing. If it was as simple as u say it is...they would've just started rolling out Mk1A from Mk1 production lines...
...were they stupid to build a prototype first?

So you want to say that JFT’s nose is almost 1.5 times bigger thatn Tejas? Even Rafale has 838 T/R Modules in radar.

Thats why theytested MK1A avionics on MK1 prototype before being confident for orders.

We talking about current one not mk1a ànd which Indian avionics ànd radars you have for mk1 ànd still mk1a uses lots of avionics ànd hmd from Israel

KLJ-7A has 1000+ When equipped on the Thunder, according to the NRIET. I’m guess it depends on the usage.
Uttam will not be seen in a Tejas in service until at least 2025. The first squadron of MK1A is expected to be inducted in 2024. That squadron will have Israeli radars. KLJ-7A is already present on JF17 Block 2 and on 3s by the end of this year.
What’s the SAR mapping Resolution of Uttam?

Also Tejas has the lowest aspect ratio of any modern fighter that’s in service. A bad aspect ratio means poor lift vis-a-vis drag. Though that is generally an issue in all pure deltas, it is highly apparent in the Tejas. Even more so than the old Mirage 3/5 and F1.

ohhhh, The plane which takes only half the time of JF 17 has a poor lift ratio. PDF experts are out of the world.

Not that bigger but slightly i think 0.5 times bigger than Tejas in my personal opinion, and do remember dude EU countries has vast experience to design and develop jet based radars so that doesn't mean if RAFALE has less T/R modules in her AESA so RAFALE AESA weaker or somewhat less capable of that KLJ-7A, RAFALE's AESA is definitely lot more capable of KLJ-7A, and do remember dude China is just started developing/designing fighter jet AESAs

Tejas mk1A will have improved aerodynamics with 20% higher transonic acceleration and 2% higher top speed. It will have a very high quality AESA radar capable of engaging the target while scanning in different modes. It will have the state of art weapons, high fuel efficiency, 4 tons Plus payload and very high thrust to weight ratio, helmet mounted display, autopilot, on board oxygen generator and state of art software for the recovery of plane from low speed , spin and stall. No other plane of the class has such sophisticated softwares and recovery systems. It can fly at just less than 100 nautical mile speed. It cannot simply be matched by cheap Chinese planes having any such sophistication.

The power each TR module consume is very important and its conversion in radar wave. In how many different mode can AESA operate is also very important. Track while search etc. The angle in which the radar can operate is also very important. Chinese radar legs behind in all these areas compared to Uttam.
No weapon system is 100% perfect dude every weapon system has its own pros and cons

This is a very generic statement and doesn't make any sense.
