Yeah Khalistan is a cool idea. Lahore as the capital suits great. People can move more freely from Khalistan to Indian Punjab. Fair enough.

They don't need Lahore as their capital since Lahore is always open to them anyways. They come flocking here from india regardless and their living standard in Lahore just during those few weeks is ten thousand times better than whatever they get in drug and pothole infested indian Punjab

Pakistan used to be one of the largest proponents if the idea some decades back

Now most of it is spear-headed by Sikhs inside and especially outside of india. Blue Star Operation sure didn't help!

Regarding blue star - the Sikhs became pretty open once they are outside of india. I always make it a point to ask them about it nonchalantly and 85% of them called it in one way or another an "unhealed wound"

It was indeed Indira Gandhi's creation that came back to bite her. Bhindranwale sowed the seed and many then foolishly jumped the bandwagon believing there would be "support". But OP Bluestar had killed any chance they had for secession and what followed was mindless mayhem and violence.
Kudos to KPS Gill for bringing all of that violence under control and giving peace a chance in Punjab. Fortunately peace stayed!
