Indian economy's worth expected to rise to $1.7 trn

Your link gives India's poverty estimate for 2012 but not updated for Pakistan. All estimates shows poverty has risen in Pakistan and your government is trying to hide it keeping world bank site not updated. World Bank don't publish useless things, so I am surprised you are trying to deny it.

Jump in Pakistan’s poverty level - DAWN.COM

Are you stupid or are you just biased that you'd quote an 'article - an Opinion Piece' to substantiate your claim instead of quoting facts ?

Pakistan's Poverty Reduction Rate was hovering at 1.3% p.a & unless you've managed to reinvent Mathematics a Reduction at 1.3% annually doesn't increase but decreases the 21% National Poverty Percentage in 2006 to something a lot less in 2014 !

That coupled with an increasing GDP Per Capita, an increasing Human Development Index & a less Income Inequality Index would be enough for even someone who hasn't been blessed with too much intellect to know that even if somehow Mathematics were to nullify its basic premise the other Indicators also contradict the assertion !

Additionally the UNDP's Multi-Dimesional Poverty Index which has nothing to do with Government Censuses shows a lesser Multidimensional Poverty for Pakistan than for India !

Base year is only used in calculating GDP to the local currency while compensating for inflation by economist.

The actually GDP figure that is released and what you see is in current US dollar terms.

Current GDP of Bangladesh from world bank is 116 BillionUSD as of Jan 11, 2014

World Development Indicators-Google Public Data Explorer

Dude, most of these sites are wrong anyway. It is laziness and they do not bother updating with latest BD government figures.

Take the current GDP of BD in taka and divide it by the exchange rate and it will be way higher than 116 billion dollars.

Last year, BD's GDP/capita was in excess of 1000 dollars with a population in excess of 150 million.

BD leads India in life expectancy and lower malnutrition and it is illogical to think that India has twice the GDP/capita of BD

Show me a source of your statistics department for your GDP in taka.

According to this.

Bangladesh GDP in 2012 was $52 Billion USD.

You are claiming there is reduction of 1.3% per annum but hardly I heard about any reduction in poverty, all surveys points to rise in the poverty level. Can you post the UNDP link, I suppose they must have updated Pakistan's poverty line instead of recycling of same old matter.

Can you point towards any 'survey' that points towards a rise in the Poverty Line ?

Here is the 1.3% p.a average between '99 & '06 : Poverty & Equity Data | South Asia | The World Bank

Here is the UNDP link : | Human Development Reports

Both links have same value for the year 2008. 1999-2006 was the golden age of Pakistan's economy during Musharraf. I already shared them in previous posts.

I suppose you are correct that with an increasing GDP Per Capita, an improving Human Development Index which is a measure of Life Expectancy, Education & Income & the least loss in HDI due to Income Inequality amongst India, Bangladesh & Pakistan, it only makes sense for Pakistan's Poverty Rate to rise !

Kyon yakeen nahi hota. First image is directly from World Bank.

and second ..... :azn:

Because there is no Link; that image doesn't show anywhere on the WB website !

Because that image in itself is a Projection of how much Poverty would be Reduced if certain GDP Growth Rates are maintained !

Because the WB Data itself on their Country Pages disputes that !

Because the UNDP Data disputes that !

He will not provide the link because the said graph is based on the data of 2004

here you go Mr. troll specially for you

Oh Genius! 2013 is written in big letters in the last iage, can't you see it. :omghaha::omghaha:

Inflation, GDP growth and population growth rate can alter it.

May be size of pakistan, what else you think we are trying?

Why 'open air India' is not enough for increasing population of India .....

Inflation, GDP growth and population growth rate can alter it.

If that were the case the Human Development Index wouldn't be improving genius !

More Population & Less Resources for them to use (Less Income) & more Inflation ensures that the HDI which is a combined index of Life Expectancy, Education & Income wouldn't be improving ! :hitwall:

More People with Less to Eat equals a Higher Mortality Rate, Worse Health Providence & Lesser to Eat still which means a decrease in Life Expectancy or a decrease in Income or a decrease in Educational Attainment - Not an increase as has been seen ! :coffee:

And an increasing GDP Per Capita in PPP Terms is both Inflation Adjusted & takes into account the increasing Population hence the 'Per Capita' portion ! :disagree:

You really are trolling aren't you ?
