The King was supposed to listen to the people. They were saying that they should acede to Pakistan because of it's huge Muslim population, but the King didn't listen and look at us now.
no the people wanted to stay independent even now they prefer independance over pakistan,get the facts right

yet again.... Lets get the facts straight.. India is not going to give up kashmir, whether we bleed by a thousand cuts or a million cuts. that's the TRUTH! and pakistanis will remain hungry, but keep fighting for kashmir, even that is true!
and I somehow see a stalemate here.. India won't be able to take back P0K in all likelihood in foreseeable future... and pakistan won't be able to "FREE" kashmir from evil India's clutches....
So guys, stop feeling all these emotions like hatred and anger-- the only casualty of your arrogance is going to be your keyboards!!!!
In spite of whatever the internet-warriors feel here, my common sense tells me that we should aim at having better relations.. may be even forgive each other for some idiotic actions...and be magnanimous, the way pakistan govt did recently by releasing Indian prisoners.. AND WHO KNOWS,in our lives itself, we will see kashmir as a peaceful region of co-existence between India and pakistan...

What part of Kashmir and what part of it's culture is similar with Indians? Can an Indian here trace back any historical roots and traditions with Kashmir? Reality is, there is nothing in common and there has never been one. There should be an accurate understanding as to why Indians would want it as a territorial gain. For god's sake, most of them don't even look alike you guys. If Kashmirs don't want to live with you then its basically their fundemental right to go where ever they want to go. India is clearly a true terrorist state...

Absolutely.. And this fundamental right is available to every citizen of India including Kashmiris.. The state of India holds no individual by force in the country. They can leave at will anytime and to any country that would have them...

This is not the answer a third party would look for.
Yes looks of people do matter. India is not UK, US, Canada, or any other western country. Those countries have immigrants, people who don't look alike and are living their temporarily. Go to any Indian or Pakistani in a western country and you will know that they haven't lived there for more than 100 years. Keep this in mind, if you have lived and visited foreign countries.
Its your choice. you can either call Kashmiris immigrants (like western countries) and still you will have no right to take and comtrol a foreign land under international law. Or you can call them Indian natives. In that case if you are saying this then at least prove your similarities with them.
Talk about muslims. Alright. Man you guys are willing too much lol.
You can compare Pakistani muslims with Saudi muslims. Do you think we would come out and say we are Saudis now because of religion??? LOL, from this ideology, every muslim country is united and one. Makes me wonder, umm... why is their conflict between iran and saudi arabia. Why was there Iraq-Iran war that killed millions on each side .

Its barely twice the SIZE.
ten x the size is the indian GDP ie $1.8 trillon versis $180 billion.
In your angar and frustration AT INDIA,S power and prestige in the global arena YOU guys are mixing up econmic might with army size.
YOU pakistanis have a big army 500,000 but very poorly equipped due to you very small budget and GDP
