India to Commission its First Indigenous Aircraft Carrier INS Vikrant (IAC-I) by 2019

I AM in reality, and the only reality here is that India can afford 100000 tons, without caring how many 1000 tons China wants to build. Please stop reading too much into Indian media, our policy is just in place and we know what are our weaknesses.

You are asking a wrong question to a right guy. "Whatever is your strength, is our weakness."

(01) Warship grade steel used for the building the vessel was designed by the Hyderabad-based Defence Research Development Laboratory and production was done by Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) of 26,000 tonnes of high-grade “warship steel”.

(02) IAC-I is based on gas turbine engine not on the old boiler designs. Gas turbines are a more advanced propulsion system than the boiler ones. Yeah Chinese Quality Sucks! Even you admit the fact!

LOL, such a detailed reply to poor troll @wanglaokan? Well, I suppose we must indulge his ilk, since information is not available to them unless the glorious party thinks it is OK.

wang: You have been wiped out on this thread, it would be wise to pick another thread to troll.

In terms of military?? Somehow I think not being Democracy is a strength in the bith of a nation to get things in order. If China does not progress to democracy, it will be its downfall.

Building and deploying has nothing to do with quality. The parameters for quality are more complex than mere sailing. And yes don't forget that is it the INDIAN OCEAN...
Don't blame democracy, blame your yourself.

Nice of you provide more info and the deadline, i've made 50 cents thank you.

For what?
You said democracy is the reason why India is lagging behind CHina in development.

Is the gas turbine engine on Kolkota being built by India company?

It is not that bad if you could produce even bolts to engine on your own, it only take 14 years. Just think how much you gonna pay for Vikrant, maybe double the price of our new carrier. You forget how Russian ripp you off and hike up the price like hell?

tell me few things please. What is the radar, engine, Ram, CIWS,fighters, control units, landing gear? if you can't provide me the information, its a floatng hull.

It is not because you give a name 'vikrant' to it that make it indigenous, you understand?

@Beast , how you think of on this one?
I am not very sure of these indigenous india carrier. It's sounds like a good tried by indian but to combine so many foreign component together to make it work. I am not sure how are they going to do it. It may take years or decades just to put it to operational level.

The problem with Indian is they do not like to go by basic. Instead of making turbojet first before jumping into turbofan. They do the latter and end up Kaveri until now failed all the specs and cannot be equipped onto any fighter jet , let alone a protoype.

Same as indian shall straight go into making a LDP or LHD to gain some valuable ship making capabilitie first, instead they jump directly into making a aircraft carrier in their maiden attempt.

I wish them good luck.

That's why you are asking. Now I get it. Arrestor gear, engines, etc.....and by which Indian company, so your Cyber warfare units can target them.

To put this theory to test, any Indians on this site who have any defence friends should inform them of a possible strike. Theses Chinese bots patrol the net, looking and gobbling information, then utilize in any maner that suits them for whatever purpose.
